James “J.T.” Thomas is still a hero – and a winner – despite the fact that he has lost his chance at the $1 million prize for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains in Samoa. As last season’s last man standing, players and fans had faith that the Southern cutie would replay his win. But his
ultra-controversial move to hand an immunity idol over to his rival, Russell Hantz, backfired. “I felt like if I give the idol away to save our tribe, I could trust them [the Villains] and they could trust me,” J.T. tells In
Touch
. “Everyone was completely in agreement with the plan.” But despite the unanimous coup, it was the man who hatched the plan who took the fall for all.

Meanwhile, Hantz is proving to be a real-life — not just a reality show — villain. He was arrested early Friday morning for simple battery in Lafayette, La., while in town attending the Festival International de Louisiane. According to a spokesman for the Lafayette Police Department, Hantz was partying at a local nightclub during the street festival when he allegedly got into an altercation with an unidentified woman, then shoved her to the ground. He was charged with simple battery, a misdemeanor, and released a few hours later.
