The headline above says it all, but the exciting news is worth repeating: Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan Downey are expecting their first child together!

The couple wed in 2005, while the Oscar nominee has a 17-year old son from his first marriage to Deborah Falconer. The baby is due in early 2012.

Downey will next be seen in the sequel to Sherlock Holmes, A Game of Shadows. It comes out on December 16 and you can watch the trailer HERE.
