Gabriel Aubry Confirms Split with Halle Berry, Is Sad

Following reports from multiple media outlets on Friday, Gabriel Aubry has confirmed the news: he and Halle Berry are no longer together.
“I am sad to say that Halle and I have decided together to separate at this time,” Aubry said in a statement. “She is, and will forever be one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known, and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another.”
That’s a fair, mature thing to say. We just have one question in response: What the heck is wrong with you, Gabriel Aubry?!?
Berry and Aubry first met at a 2006 Versace photo shoot. They are the parents of two-year old daughter Nahla and are working on a custody arrangement for her.
“We have been blessed with the most amazing daughter in the world,” Aubry added. “Her happiness and well-being are the most important thing for both of us. Please respect our privacy during this very difficult time.”
On Friday, meanwhile, Berry saw a performance of the Broadway play Fences, starring Denzel Washington. A friend describes the actress as being in “good spirits.”
