Miley Cyrus Out, Selena Gomez In for Animated Vampire Movie

Selena Gomez is joining the young vampire craze. And the actress is taking over for pal Miley Cyrus in order to do it.

A rep for Adam Sandler has confirmed to E! News that Gomez will replace Miley in Hotel Transylvania, an animated feature in which Sandler will voice the operator of a high-end resort that caters to vampires, and who freaks out when a boy finds the locale and falls for the Count’s teen-aged daughter.

She’ll be played by Selena.

Other characters in Hotel Transylvania will be voiced by Andy Samberg, Cee Lo Green and Kevin James. The film is scheduled for a September release.

No word on why Miley dropped out of the project.

Halle Berry Fleeing U.S. Due to Death Threats?

Halle Berry does not want to move to France with young daughter Nahla and fiance Olivier Martinez to spite Gabriel Aubry – she fears for her life, according to reports.

TMZ reports that Halle is motivated by security in asking a judge for permission to move to France with Nahla – something Gabriel Aubry is trying to block.

There have apparently been serious threats to Halle’s life – from one man in particular – and she feels the move out of the country is a life or death situation.

Robert Hoskins, a mentally unstable man, escaped from a mental institution last week and has made threats against Halle, specifically to “slit her throat.”

Hoskins threatened to slit Madonna’s throat in the past and was actually shot by her bodyguard in 1995 after he trespassed onto the pop star’s property.

As if that weren’t enough, another stalker who recently trespassed onto Halle’s property multiple times in the past has just been released from jail.

Halle is particularly concerned because Starmaps and some Hollywood bus tours literally take tourists to her doorstep, and it freaks her out.

The actress is also concerned that Gabriel Aubry, Nahla’s father, is parading in front of paparazzi almost daily and possibly putting her at risk.

A judge has yet to rule on her request to skip town.

The Bachelorette’s newly-minited star, Emily Maynard, was spotted bonding in L.A. with two women who have been in her shoes: Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert!

The reality star joined Ali and Ashley for a makeup appointment and some chitchat at Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge in West Hollywood … obviously.

According to a source, the ladies were talking about the ABC reality show, wth Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert giving Maynard advice about what to expect.

“All three ladies got along so great,” a source says.

“The ladies were really cute together; they joked around and … were all in very good moods – energetic and excited about being in each other’s company.”

After the makeup session, the women filmed a promo for Emily Maynards Bachelorette season to air during the February 27 episode of The Bachelor.

Chad Ochocinco: Changing Name Back to Chad Johnson!

Get ready to say goodbye to Chad Ochocinco.

No, the NFL star is not retiring (although that can’t be too far off, given his waning effectiveness), he’s just planning to change his last name back to Chad Johnson.

Seriously. After the ridiculous production involved in legally changing his last name to Ochocinco, Chad’s changing it back just in time for his wedding this summer.

The reason? He doesn’t want his wife to have a made-up last name. Noble. But couldn’t she just stay Evelyn Lozada instead of being Mrs. Johnson or Ochocinco?

Ocho’s wedding to his Basketball Wives fiancee is set for July in Florida, and the Patriots wide receiver plans to legally be Chad Johnson again by that time.

For her part, Evelyn swears she doesn’t care what name she ends up with, and that the choice is entirely up to Chad … but he is doing it for her, he says.

The only downside? Chad’s legal fees, and how much it sucks for all of you who bought Ochocinco jerseys, though now at least they’ll be a collector’s item.

Evelyn Lozada and Chad recently postponed their wedding amid a firestorm of rumors that they were on the rocks, but apparently it’s back on. Hooray.

Daniel Radcliffe Defends Gay Marriage: It’s About Equality!

Miley Cyrus has a famous friend in her fight for marriage equality.

In the latest issue of Attitude UK, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe comments on a number of societal issues, from the rise in teen suicide (“You used to be able to escape at the end of a day: now you can be hunted by mobile phone, Facebook, Twitter. It’s terrifying.”) to his feelings on gay marriage.

“The ultimate reason gay marriage should be legalized everywhere is because, as a kid, you look to your mum and dad and they’re married; then you look at the gay couple who’ve been together for the same amount of time, but because they can’t get married their relationship doesn’t seem the same,” the actor says, adding:

“Yes, gay marriage is about symbolically blessing a relationship, but the larger issue is about transmitting a fundamental message about equality. Gay people should have equality in law everywhere.”

Roland Martin to Meet With GLAAD in Wake of CNN Suspension

CNN’s Roland Martin announced last night that he will meet with GLAAD in the wake of his suspension from the network over his “regrettable,” homophobic tweets.

Martin was suspended by CNN indefinitely Wednesday afternoon after the controversy surrounding Tweets he fired off during Super Bowl XLVI Sunday evening.

Among other things, he said that people should “smack the ish” out of any male fans of a David Beckham underwear commercial. Controversy erupted quickly.

CNN, which was also criticized for its delayed response, took three days to respond to the calls by GLAAD and others to fire Martin or to address his tweets.

When it did, it called the statements “offensive” and against what the network stands for, adding that Martin would be off the air “for the time being.”

Martin did not directly address his suspension Wednesday. But he tweeted two messages to his followers (above) detailing his plans to meet with GLAAD.

For its part, GLAAD lauded CNN’s stand on Martin but also welcomed the political analyst’s apology and offers to meet with and work with the group.

Did George Huguely Murder Yeardley Love?

Former University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely is on trial for murdering his ex-girlfriend, Yeardley Love, in a case that has garnered national attention.

His first-degree murder trial included dramatic testimony Wednesday in Charlottesville, Virginia, from Love’s two roommates, serving as witnesses for the prosecution.

The saga is People’s cover story this week. What makes it so noteworthy?

The element of mystery surrounding the case, for one, and the fact that the accused is a Division I lacrosse star – who professes his innocence.

Caity Whiteley, who lived with Love and was on the lacrosse team with her, described returning to Love’s apartment to ask her to go out with them.

With Yeardley Love, 22, face down in bed, just as Whiteley had last seen her, nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary, at least at first.

“Her hair was all messed up and pulled aside,” Whiteley said, according to Charlottesville’s Daily Progress. “I moved her hair, and then that’s when I noticed.”

“There were cuts on her face, and it was just messed up.” Whiteley also testified that Love’s body was warm but that her feet were cold at the time.

On Thursday, when graphic photos of Love’s lifeless body were shown in court, her family sobbed, while George Huguely, 23, kept his head down.

Whiteley said that in the months before Love’s death her already on-again-off-again relationship with Huguely, had become even “more rocky than usual.”

Huguely reportedly was observed choking Love during a party.

Love and Whiteley’s other roommate, Kaitlin Duff, said oLove had become “very upset” in late April after she learned Huguely was with another woman.

Another witness was Anna Lehman, who lived in the apartment below Love. Describing a loud noise she heard from the floor above shortly before midnight, Lehman testified, “I thought that maybe like a stereo set had fallen, or a bookshelf.”

Right after that she saw a dark-haired man in a royal blue T-shirt leaving Love’s apartment. She described him as looking “like a male student.”

The defense reportedly does not dispute that Huguely was in the apartment that night. In opening statements Wednesday, Huguely’s lawyer said his client was very drunk the night Love died and was incapable of plotting to kill her.

Huguely has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, robbery, burglary, breaking and entering, grand larceny and murder in the commission of a felony.

According to an affidavit, Huguely admitted that he kicked in Love’s door and shook her, repeatedly hitting her head against a wall, back in May 2010.

Huguely’s attorney Francis Lawrence told reporters, “We are confident that Ms. Love’s death was not intended but an accident with a tragic outcome.”

Reports say that prosecutors said in court Wednesday that two days before Love’s death, Huguely accused her of having another relationship.

Prosecutor Dave Chapman told jurors Huguely assaulted Love and wrote to her saying he was upset because she had slept with someone else.

According to prosecutors, Huguely sent angry e-mails to Love, including one that said, “I should kill you.” When it came time for Huguely’s attorney Lawrence to address jurors, he reportedly relayed the rest of the e-mail’s message:

“I should have killed you. You should’ve killed me. You’re so [expletive] up.

Prosecutors also outlined Huguely’s pattern of violence against Love and said he intended to kill her and steal her laptop to destroy evidence.
