A not-entirely-miserable-or-robotic-for-once Britney Spears and her agent boyfriend Jason Trawick enjoyed their typical afternoon together in Calabasas, Calif.

Always rumored to be on the rocks, the pair walked hand in hand and got lunch at Red Robin before picking up a few things for the house at Williams Sonoma.

As usual, Jason Trawick was a true gentleman to his lady love, while Britney looked ambivalent about the outing. You don’t see her smiling very much.

Just saying. She wore her typical summer uniform, at least.

Donning short shorts, sandals and continuing her steadfast refusal to wear a bra, the pop icon showed Miley Cyrus a couple of things that can’t be tamed …

Britney Spears refuses to be constrained. It just will not happen.
