At the pit stop in Shanghai’s Riverside Promenade, viewers watched with bated breath as the Amazing Race‘s Louie and Michael arrived just minutes after brothers Dan and Jordan, resulting in their last-place elimination.
“I’m still crying,” Louie joked to In Touch about the good-natured detectives’ close-call to making the final three. Unlike the animosity the last eliminated team, Carol and Brandy, felt for some of the remaining contestants, Louie and Michael left the CBS competition series with no hard feelings. “We knew we would be happy if any of those teams beat us. We were close to Brent and Caite, Daniel and Jordan, and the cowboys [Jet and Cord]. We were happy for everybody,” Michael said about he and Louie’s positive
relationship with all the race’s top three teams. Returning to their hometown of Providence, R.I., empty-handed, the optimistic pair has no regrets. “This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. We’d be all set if we won the
money, but it wasn’t bad coming back to a job and family I love,” Michael concluded. Catch the final episode of the Amazing Race‘s sixteenth season next Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
