We’re two games away from learning which teams will clash in the Super Bowl on February 5.

Or, should we say, we’re one game away from learning who will take on the Patriots, considering THG’s scientific breakdown of their matchup against the Ravens makes it clear that New England will come out on top.

Stephen Colbert, Herman Cain Stump For Votes in South Carolina


Newt, Schmewt. Mitt, Schmitt.

Herman Cain dropped out of the presidential race months ago, but that won’t stop Stephen Colbert from rallying for him in advance of today’s primary.

The Comedy Central host hit the campus of the College of Charleston Friday, joined by over 3,000 students, a marching band, cheerleaders, and Cain:

Colbert, who toyed with running in the South Carolina GOP primary himself, was waylaid by the technicality of not getting his name on the ballot in time.

Cain, who abandoned his bid in the fall after a brief surge to the top of the polls, happens to still be on the ballot, so Colbert threw his support to Cain.

A gospel choir sang “This Little Light of Mine” before Colbert delivered an address at the “Rock Me Like a Herman Cain: South Cain-Olina Primary Rally.”

“Do not sit down!” Colbert said. “There are no chairs. Partly for budgetary reasons, but mostly because I’ll take a standing ovation any way I can get it.”

He zinged the frontrunner as such: “The only difference between Mitt Romney and a statue of Mitt Romney is that the statue never changes in position.”

Before introducing Cain, he also zinged Rick Santorum.

“A Her Man is not the same as a She Male,” Colbert said, according to reports, adding. “I don’t want to frighten any Rick Santorum supporters.”

“I have believed in the message of Herman Cain for several days now. I want you to vote for Herman Cain because Herman Cain is me… and he possesses the one thing I don’t think I possibly will ever have: a place on the South Carolina ballot.”

Fight on, Stephen and Herman. Fight on.

Ben Roethlisberger Settles Andrea McNulty Rape Lawsuit; Terms Not Disclosed


Ben Roethlisberger has settled the lawsuit filed against him by Andrea McNulty in 2009 – the first of two incidents in which he was accused of sexual assault.

The civil lawsuit filed by McNulty, a former Lake Tahoe casino host, claiming the NFL star raped her while he was in town for a golf tournament in 2008.

Neither side will say if Andrea McNulty was paid in the settlement.

McNulty filed the suit in Washoe District Court in 2009, claiming Roethlisberger lured her into his Harrah’s penthouse suite and forced her to have sex.

The suit also named a list of Harrah’s employees, claiming they covered up the alleged sexual assault to protect the Pittsburgh Steelers superstar.

McNulty’s lawyer, Cal Dunlap, refused to discuss the terms of the case. Roethlisberger’s lawyer, David Cornwell, and his agent, also had no comment.

McNulty claimed Roethlisberger asked her to come to his suite to fix his broken television, only to force her onto the bed and rape her, the suit said.

Lawyers for Roethlisberger denied the claims, and the casino denied covering it up. McNulty was accused by some of trying to extort money from him.

The star faced similar allegations in Georgia only one year later when a second Ben Roethlisberger accuser said he sexually assaulted her after a night of drinking.

Authorities investigated the allegations, but no charges were filed.

Brittany Kerr: New American Idol Bikini Girl!


Brittany Kerr, a cheerleader for the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and now a contestant on American Idol, probably can’t challenge Phillip Phillips on talent alone.

She does bring other attributes to the table, however.

A massive surge in traffic from peeps looking for Brittany Kerr bikini photos crashed her manager’s website the following day, according to reports.

Not only that, she’s on her way to Hollywood! J.Lo wasn’t impressed with her audition (below), but Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson sent her through.

Big surprise. No word if she’ll don a two-piece in the next round …

Kerr’s management company wasn’t the only thing affected. Jim Merrill, a photographer who recently shot Kerr in a bikini, had to buy more bandwidth.

Merrill typically gets about 5,000 hits a month on his website. Just moments after Kerr’s audition, his traffic ballooned to 20,000 hits … Wednesday.

The moral of the story? People love their American Idol. And cyber stalking pics of hot girls who become Z-list celebrities overnight. U-S-A! U-S-A!

Final Poster for The Hunger Games: Released! Awesome!


With just over two months to go until the release of The Hunger Games, Lionsgate has released the final poster for this sure-to-be blockbuster.

It features Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and it’s just as awesome as all other promotional material so far:

But while the excitement over The Hunger Games builds each day, and while its core audience may also be comprised of teenage girls, Josh Hutcherson recently spoke to E! News and stopped the comparisons to another franchise right then and there.

“I’m not a huge fan of the comparisons to Twilight just because I think it’s a very different world,” the actor behind Peeta said. “I understand why people make the connection just because it’s a popular teen book… but the story is really more about Katniss and her survival. There’s definitely less romance.”

Report: Heidi Klum to Divorce Seal


Heidi Klum is filing for divorce from Seal, according to reports.

Sources say the supermodel will file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the divorce.

The couple married in May 2005 and have three biological children together. Seal also adopted Heidi’s eldest daughter from a prior relationship with Flavio Briatore.

So far, neither party has confirmed the report, first posted by TMZ. It is unclear what prompted the imminent dissolution of the marriage or how the matter leaked.

The pair, long regarded as one of Hollywood’s most stable relationships, is famous for renewing their vows every year on their anniversary … in a lavish ceremony.

They are also not PDA-shy when it comes to love for each other and their family. Suffice it to say, if this news is indeed true, it would be a major surprise to most.

As for splitting up their assets, there’s a lot on the line.

According to Forbes, in the last year alone, Heidi Klum earned more than $20 million. It’s unclear how much Seal, an award-winning recording artist, made.
