American Idol alum Jordin Sparks showed up to a Critics’ Choice Awards after-party at Boulevard3 looking slimmed down and hotter than ever! Wearing a sparkly black dress, Jordin told In Touch just how she looks so good for the red carpet. “Dresses that are really flattering help a lot,” Jordin explained. “But there’s no secret. You just watch portion control and exercise when you can.” Jordin also filled In Touch in on a little-known secret — she and Emma Stone were acting buddies! “Emma and I actually were in community theater together when we were younger, and she was such a riot. She was so good at anything we were ever in, so I’m rooting for her. And she’s so beautiful!”
Emma won the People’s Choice Award this year for best actress, and Jordin is hopping on the acting train, as well. “My new movie, Sparkle, that I just finished with Whitney Houston, is a remake of the 1976 original about three girls trying to break into the music scene,” Jordin said. “They go through their ups and downs. I play the main character, Sparkle, who goes from being young and naive to finally becoming a woman at the end and finding her own voice. It was incredible, actually. I used to sing [Whitney’s] songs into a hairbrush, so to be able to stand there as she’s scolding me as my mother in a film — it was a very weird moment, but it was amazing. She’s very sweet.”
But Jordin’s not leaving the music world for too long. She’s working on new music and hopes to collaborate with some big names. “I would love to work with Whitney and Mariah [Carey]!” And will we see Jordin back on American Idol? “I’m still such a huge fan of the show. I actually saw a preview of it the other day while sitting with my mom, and I started screaming!” she reveals. “I’m excited for it to come on. And I hope that I get to go back and visit like I do every year.”

The Critics’ Choice Awards went off without a hitch last night at the Hollywood Palladium, where Tinseltown’s elite showed up in their best suits and dresses, ready to impress. Brad Pitt limped in on his cane without his better half, Angelina Jolie, who was noticeably missing from the event. But he wasn’t alone — best friend George Clooney was there to accompany him, along with lady love Stacy Keibler.
George headed inside with girlfriend Stacy, who was wearing a gorgeous floor-length white gown. The couple was seen canoodling all night, looking very loved-up and sipping Nicolas Feuillatte champagne with Brad. When it was announced that George had won the Critics’ Choice award for Best Actor, beating out Brad, he kissed Stacy and bowed to Brad, who returned the gesture by blowing him a kiss. They hugged it out, and Brad gave him a standing ovation while George accepted his award. It’s so nice to see genuine and lasting friendship in Hollywood!

Lindsay Lohan has been a model employee at the morgue since getting banished there for community service, according to reports. At her progress hearing tomorrow a.m., Judge Stephanie Sautner may even praise her for her good work again.
Lindsay was required to complete 12 L.A. County Morgue visits and four psychotherapy sessions by Tuesday’s court hearing. LiLo has done so, finishing up her 11th and 12th community service trips Friday and Saturday. Give a girl credit for sticking to it!

According to sources, Lindsay has been a model morgue employee, i.e. she shows up on time, gets the job done with no drama and she’s friendly with the staff.
The oft-maligned starlet will be at the halfway mark of her probation Tuesday, with another hearing set for Feb. 15, and another 12 morgue visits required by then.
On March 29, her final hearing takes place, and at that point, she must show she’s completed the remaining 17 morgue visits and six therapy classes.
Should LiLo slip at any point with these terms or violate any more laws, she gets 270 days in jail. Fortunately, she seems dead set on that NOT happening.

Kasey Kahl, a Z-list reality star best known for his stints in The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad and Vienna Girardi, was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
$h!t went down at a club in Fresno, Calif. Way to go man.
Law enforcement sources say Kahl was allegedly involved in an incident at a place called Club Habanos. So far, it’s unclear what Kahl is accused of doing wrong.

He was definitely arrested though. Thanks to TMZ, we have this lovely photo, a new (and abnormally happy) addition to our celebrity mug shot gallery:
Kahl was booked at a nearby police station and released a few hours after this classic mugshot. Things couldn’t have been too bad if he’s smiling like that.
He just finished taping the inaugural season of VH1′s upcoming Relationship Rehab with – you guessed it – former life partner/soulmate Vienna Girardi.
This is the last you’ll hear of either of them until that show premieres … probably. They’re like bad pennies the way they always turn up somewhere.

Rihanna chilled out with what appeared to be either a joint or a hand-rolled cigarette while vacationing in Hawaii on Sunday, according to these hot new photos.
Whatever she was smokin’ with her wavy hair cascading over her high forehead, Rihanna’s clad in black leggings and a pink top, looking mellow as can be.
We’re half-stoned just looking at these Rihanna pictures:

The 23-year-old tweeted, “Kush rolled, glass full… I prefer the better things,” quoting the lyrics from her pal Drake’s marijuana-inspired song, “Up All Night.”
Kush is a name for a high-grade strand of marijuana. It’s possible she was just channeling her inner Drake and wasn’t puffing on it here, however.
We don’t know. Or judge. Maybe she’s just high … on life?

With rumors swirling that Kim Kardashian simply staged a conversation with her mother on a recent episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York – one in which she bad mouths ex-husband Kris Humphries – a new report claims the reality star similarly contrived the proposal that led to this pair’s 72-day union.
We’ll give you a moment to process that truly startling allegation.
An anonymous friend of Kris’ tells Radar Online that the basketball player wanted to pop the question in Minnesota. Alas, Kim gave him no say in the matter.
“Kim told Kris how, where and when to propose, it was absolutely no surprise to her whatsoever,” this insider claims.
Humphries reportedly is considering a lawsuit based on the ways E! and the Kardashians have edited their show to make him look like a dufus. In this case, the mole says producers forced Kris to propose during the daylight and that Kim was in “full hair and make-up” when it went down.
“Kris wanted it to be very intimate and romantic, but all of his ideas were shot down by production officials and Kim.”

Despite two strong finishes in as many races, Ron Paul has been derided as unelectable, even dangerous in his bid for the GOP presidential nomination by many critics.
Such criticism of Paul stems not from Democrats, but from Republican pundits and political figures – something U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina is upset by.
DeMint, whose state holds a critical primary Saturday, says it’s time to start taking Paul, his views and the contingent of supporters he has assembled seriously.
This isn’t just lip service, either. In a series of interviews, including this one on the Laura Ingraham Show (below), DeMint mentioned Paul foreseeing certain crises.
DeMint has said he’s not formally endorsing a candidate in the race, but from the sound of it, he’s endorseing some major component’s of Paul’s platform …

Charlie Sheen is on his way back into our living room: his FX sitcom premieres in June.
What made that network take a chance on the troubled actor? President and general manager John Landgraf was asked this question by reporters yesterday at the Television Critics Association press tour and said he was “as skeptical as you might imagine” when he first walked in to a pitch meeting with Sheen. But then…

“I saw [a very different Charlie Sheen] in the room, and what I heard was a really good pitch for a comedy series – funny, complicated, and I think the character that Charlie ought to be playing at this point.”
Sheen claims he’s no longer a crazy person, and Landgraf is banking on the public being as forgiving of the star’s crazy actions as he’s trying to be.
“I believe in redemption,” the executive said. “If the project that came in was one that took no notice or made no reference to or had no consciousness of everything that went before it, and Charlie seemed to have no consciousness of it, that would have been a different matter from my standpoint, because that would have been supporting the perpetuation of something. But, in my view, that’s precisely not what Charlie and [executive producer] Bruce Helford want to do, and I’m all for giving them the opportunity to turn things around.”

Not that many women can blame her, but Angelina Jolie raised some eyebrows with a risque remark about Brad Pitt before the Golden Globes last night.
While Brangelina were both the model of sophistication during interviews, Jolie let her guard down towards the end of her trip down the red carpet.
Asked what she was most looking forward to from the evening, the Associated Press says she winked and whispered: “Getting into bed with Brad.”

The best part of the Golden Globes for Angie? The after-after party, in bed!
Jolie did not get into specifics regarding their bedtime routine or discuss whether Brad’s cane makes an appearance between the sheets, if you know what we mean.
We mean he got hurt recently and walks with a cane.
Despite the A-list roster of attendees, the Golden Globes have a reputation for being much more laid back and fun than the Oscars that follow in February.
To that end, Jolie’s quip about Brad was one of several priceless celebrity moments from the Beverly Hilton Hotel that television viewers never got to see.
The audience did see plenty of quality moments, though, from Ricky Gervais’ off-color monologue to Seth Rogen’s massive erection confession.
