Can Jessica Biel trust Justin Timberlake?

That is the simple question posed by a celebrity gossip tabloid who tried to paint him as a cheater even though no credible evidence ever existed that he was.

After breakups and makeups, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel got engaged over the holidays. The couple of four and a half years will soon make it official!

While the notoriously private pair never flaunts or discusses their relationship, there was never any indication that JT stepped out on his girl. Yet we get this:

Seriously, why does Us Weekly hate Justin Timberlake of all people?

Is it a personal grudge? Even IF he cheated on Jess, which they really want you to believe, but is likely untrue, they got back together and got engaged.

Even in that alternate universe, they would have patched things up and moved on, happily. There would likely not be “an ultimatum” before he proposed.

Odds these friends who “worry he’ll break her heart” actually exist? Slim to none. JT and/or NSync must have snubbed Us like 15 years ago or something.

Konsider yourself warned, Kim Kardashian: Your ex-husband is on the warpath.

According to the latest issue of Life & Style, Kris Humphries has once again met with an attorney because he wants to take legal action against the Kardashians and the ways he has been portrayed on their E! reality show.

“He’s not going to be vilified,” an insider told the tabloid. “Kris knows his rights. He will sue.”

Humphries is especially upset at last Sunday’s episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, as he thinks it’s “noticeable” that Kim’s negative quotes about “married life” were voiceovers added well after the scenes in question took place.

But this is all hogwash, a friend of Kim’s says.

“You can’t edit what Kris said – he said those things, and maybe the truth hurts. He wants to sue because he saw what he looks like on TV and he’s embarrassed now.”

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai condemned a video depicting what appears to be four U.S. Marines urinating on the dead corpses of Taliban fighters.

A presidential statement described the video as “completely inhumane” and called on the U.S. military to punish the Marines involved in the despicable act.

The U.S. Marine Corps said Wednesday it is investigating the video, which went viral earlier this week, but has not yet verified its origin or authenticity.

The case has been referred to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the Navy’s worldwide law enforcement organization (which inspired the show NCIS).

The Afghan Ministry of Defense also condemned the actions as “shocking.” The NATO-led security force in Afghanistan said the following in a statement:

“This disrespectful act is inexplicable and not in keeping with the high moral standards we expect of all coalition forces.”

The International Security Assistance Force said the acts “appear to have been conducted by a small group of U.S. individuals apparently no longer serving in Afghanistan.”

None of the statements have identified the personnel or explained why the ISAF thought they had left the country. More as the story develops …

Blogger Jenna Burke’s over-the-top, overemotional behavior on the first episode of The Bachelor was the talk of the Web for days, with fellow bloggers calling her everything from “crazy” to “codependent” to “bunny boiler.” Even departing contestant Amber Tierney got into the act, referring to Jenna as a “hot mess” and suggesting that Ben Flajnik, 28, may have given her a rose simply to keep her from having another meltdown.

But while Jenna did lock herself in the bathroom and sob after a bizarre confrontation with fellow contestant Monica Spannbauer, during which she angrily suggested they “share a tampon sometime,” a friend of hers claims the Jenna we saw on-screen is a far cry from the sweet, down-to-earth girl she knows. “It was nerves,” Jenna’s friend Maggie Maskery insists to In Touch, adding that a few glasses of wine on an empty stomach didn’t help matters, either. “Jenna said she overheard Monica saying she didn’t like her, and so she confronted her,” Maggie explains. “But she isn’t crazy. It was all brilliant editing.”

Still, Maggie admits, there was a bit more to it than that. Shortly before she began taping the show, 27-year-old Jenna ended a long-term relationship — and was carrying some extra emotional baggage. “It was a really hard breakup,” Maggie reveals. And combined with frayed nerves, heavy competition — and Monica’s smirking comment, “We’re both girls” — it was a recipe for disaster… and one of the oddest quotes ever to emerge from a reality show. Maggie insists Jenna was simply joking about lending Monica a tampon, should she need one. “She wasn’t talking about her used tampon, that’s disgusting!” But on the other hand, Jenna should have expected some confusion. When you’re on a show that thrives on drama — and “brilliant editing” — it’s always a good idea to think twice before saying anything at all.

The weekend arrival of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter hasn’t left everyone feeling overjoyed. The New York State Health Department, for example.

Officials are looking into complaints concerning treatment of maternity patients and families during Beyoncé’s controversial stay at Manhattan’s Lenox Hill Hospital.

“We’ve received two complaints that we’re looking into today,” a spokesperson said, adding, “Neither of them was from people who were involved in the situation.”

“One was from someone who read about it in the media and the other was anonymous. So we have no person we can interview or talk to about it.”

“But at this point, we are reviewing the situation.”

After the megastar couple welcomed Blue on Saturday night, the New York Daily News reported that a Brooklyn man was barred from seeing his premature newborn twins in hospital NICU areas due to Beyonce’s security team’s presence.

More criticism followed from other patients and expectant moms who alleged that the circus surrounding Beyonce giving birth was disruptive to patient care.

The spokesman for the NYSHD added: “If someone brought us a complaint that their health or safety was in jeopardy, we’d look into that.”

A Lenox Hill spokesman declined to comment on the matter of the Health Department getting involved. The hospital has vehemently denied the allegations.

In a statement Monday, spokesman Frank Danza said the hospital received no complaints from parents about anyone being prohibited from the NICU.

He noted that officials were making “every effort to ensure minimal disruption,” and denied rumors that Beyoncé and Jay-Z had “rented out an entire floor.”

The plight of women caught up in war zones – such as the one depicted in her film The Land of Blood and Honey – and how the U.S. can get involved combating mass violence against civilians in troubled areas was Brangelina’s reason for visiting.

Pitt, who has consulted with Obama regarding his plans for the redevelopment of New Orleans’ hurricane-ravaged Lower Ninth Ward, talked about that as well.

You have to respect the couple’s commitment to these causes. No word on whether Secret Service confiscated Brad Pitt’s cane before he met with Obama.
