Lindsay Lohan is in “early talks” to play Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
Who better to play the a glamorous Hollywood icon than a train wreck frequent jailbird Playboy model who hasn’t had a notable acting role in years!
The film will focus on Taylor’s tumultuous relationship with two-time husband Richard Burton. So how on Earth did they think of Lohan for the part?

Like Lohan, Taylor began her career at a young age, growing up in the spotlight. Some say she made plenty of missteps along her road to icon status.
Lohan also posed for Marilyn Monroe-inspired Playboy photos which allegedly racked up record sales for the mag, resurrecting her career somewhat.
Maybe a Liz T. photo spread is next? Eh, maybe not.
Elizabeth Taylor passed away in March at age 79.

Christina Aguilera wants to make it abundantly clear: she thoroughly enjoys her body. Critics be damned!
A couple days after telling reporters that she loves her curves, excerpts from an interview the singer gave to Marie Claire have leaked online, in which she once again says:

“I’ve been through my highs, I’ve been through my lows; I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It’s noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loooves my body. My son is healthy and happy, so that’s all that matters to me.”
Speaking of little Max, Christina admits single parenthood can be a “struggle,” but doesn’t blame her ex, Jordan Bratman. She labels him a “devoted father” and adds:
“We always make sure that we put Max first. I have help from family and good people around me in support of my career. I couldn’t do what I do without a strong team behind me.”

For whatever reason, after last night’s episode, The Bachelor decided it would unveil the mystery woman in red who makes an appearance in next week’s installment.
Shawntel Newton, the mortician from last season who made it all the way to the final four and earned a hometown date with Brad Womack, enters the contest!
Apparently, fellow Northern Californian Shawntel made no secret of wanting to date Ben Flajnik after The Bachelorette and talked the producers into this stunt.
How long will she stick around? That we’ll have to wait and find out. Or read The Bachelor spoilers we’ve compiled thus far and read Reality Steve’s best guess.
Either way, check out the promo for next week’s episode below:

Jonny Manfre, a.k.a. The Unit, is making his presence felt in the new season of Jersey Shore – for better or worse. So who is the Situation’s right-hand, pot-stirring man?
On the Season 5 premiere of the MTV hit, the gang returned from Italy to a welcome home bash in Seaside. Snooki’s BFF Ryder and The Unit were among the attendees.
It got awkward fast. Not only did Ryder ride The Unit at some point, but Jonny M. also witnessed the alleged Snooki-Situation hookup – to Mike’s everlasting delight.
Because we know you’re DYING to know, here are some fun Unit facts:
- He’s Mike’s BFF. Seriously. Two peas in a PED-enhanced pod.
- He is dating a girl named Amia Miley (pictured) somehow:

- The Unit, a Situation original nickname, refers to what you think it does. Gross.
- He allegedly smushed Ryder while Snooki served Sitch right next to him. Gross.
- Unit joined Mike’s plot to fake rat out Snooki to Jionni just for fun in Season 4.
- He was arrested outside the Seaside house during Season 5 with a “mysterious powdery white substance” and faces drug possession charges as a result.
- He was recently, and still may be, in a relationship with an “award-winning porn actress.” Sigh. Huge letdown for you ladies out there, we’re sure.

The common knock against Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is that he is out of touch with too much of the electorate to possibly win the presidency.
If that’s true, perhaps it’s the electorate’s problem, not Paul’s.
In a chilling speech on April 24, 2002, the Texas Congressman outlined numerous issues he predicted would transpire over the next decade and why. Watch Paul’s address to Congress, juxtaposed with the reports of the news he saw coming, here:
Basically, Ron Paul accurately predicted:
- The invasion of Iraq
- The failure of the government of Afghanistan
- Both political parties endorsement of military interventionalism
- The erosion of U.S. civil liberties and the Constitution
- Americans becoming poorer over the ensuing decade
- An international financial crisis that would decimate U.S. government finances, trigger a recession and resulting in exploding deficits for years
Paul concluded his speech saying he hoped he would be wrong on all accounts. Can anyone really argue that he was – or that he’s out of touch now?

Newt Gingrich, the former House Speaker, is striking a populist tone as he looks to fight back against Mitt Romney, the frontrunner in the Republican nomination fight.
In a bid to discredit Romney’s economic expertise – the strength of his candidacy, besides perceived “electability” – Gingrich lambasts him for firing people and ruining lives.
In a manner of speaking, of course.
Insisting he is “totally for capitalism,” Newt cited Microsoft for becoming “extraordinarily rich” by “providing a service” while firms such as Bain strip companies down for profit.
It’s unclear if this will resonate with voters, but a pro-Gingrich PAC, Winning Our Future, produced a movie about Mitt’s tenure at Bain to make its point. Here’s the trailer:
A deluge of pro-Romney PAC ads have drawn fire from Newt Gingrich in recent weeks. Now it seems the one-time national frontrunner is firing back in kind.
Time will tell if this line of attacks pays dividends, but it almost seems better suited to a Democratic National Committee ad, not one from a fellow Republican.

Amber Rose is sticking to her story: Kanye West cheated on her with Kim Kardashian.
But the model and aspiring artist is just keeping it real and being honest, she says. She isn’t actually angry at either party. At least not anymore.

“I forgive her,” Rose told TMZ last night. “And I forgive Kanye too… it’s not a big deal, you know?”
Amber even says she made a mistake in referring to Kim as a “homewrecker” in her initial interview with Star.
“That was kind of mean,” Rose admitted yesterday, adding: “I’m not a mean-spirited person… I just acted on my emotions when I said it.”

Amber Portwood is under close watch in jail, according to an inside source – her.
A letter the Teen Mom train wreck wrote from inside jail claims that officials even made her use a flexible writing utensil to pen it … so she won’t shiv anyone.
Prisoner-proof pens are standard issue with people viewed as violent threats, but Ambs says people think she’s a danger to society and she’ll end up in prison.
“I don’t think I’ll ever take this sh!t for granted,” she says. “I’m scared I’m going to prison … All I think about is Leah and how she needs a ro-model (sic).”

She adds, “I am a good person and I pray that I can change my life.”
Amber wrote the letter to her brother last month after she was thrown in an Indiana jail for drug possession and failing to provide a urine test (as per her probation).
She’s scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 27 for her probation violation hearing. She faces two years behind bars if convicted, which is not looking like a big stretch.
She’s also staring at an eviction hearing in the meantime. Rough.
In the meantime, here’s hoping she gets counseling while behind bars and reassesses her life … while having her belt and shoelaces taken away from her.

New excerpts from Justin Bieber’s interview with V been released.
Along with touching on his relationship with God in the February issue, the singer gets personal with the magazine by also dishing on love, drugs and sex.

“I’m not going to try to conform to what people want me to be or go out there and start partying, have people see me with alcohol. I want to do it at my own pace,” Bieber said of his age and his reputation. “I don’t want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and swearing. I’m into love, and maybe I’ll get more into making love when I’m older. But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody.”
Hear that, Selena Gomez?!? Just be patient, girl.
But the singer has goals that extend beyond love making. He says of his professional aspiration, which are not low:
“I want to be successful and be great at what I do. But eventually, I want to become the best at what I do. I want to be better than anybody who’s ever done it. And in order to do that, I need to strive to be the best, be good to people and treat people with respect, and work as hard as I can. Because for me, I work so hard and this consumes my life — it’s not worth it if I’m not the best.”
He’s well on his way to getting there, don’t you think?
