Kate Middleton Dazzles at War Horse Premiere

One day before her 30th birthday, the Duchess of Cambridge and husband Prince William attended the premiere of War Horse in London today.

It marked first royal film premiere for Kate, who walked the carpet in a black, lace Alice Temperley gown (below). Suffice it to say, she looked fabulous.

William shielded his wife from the rain with an umbrella.

The film’s legendary director Steven Spielberg, along with War Horse‘s lead actor, Jeremy Irvine, were also on hand for the star-studded UK event.

The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, which helps military servicemen and women transition back to their civilian lives, was the beneficiary.

In addition to the organization, fans who got a glimpse of the royal couple in person were also big winners, although these Kate Middleton pictures will do!

Newt Gingrich to Mitt Romney: Cut “Pious Baloney”


Mitt Romney has a sizable lead in most New Hampshire polls heading into the first primary of the Republican nomination race, but did he take on water today?

With the election set for Tuesday, Romney is expected to win, with Ron Paul in second in every survey to date. Thus, the rest of the field is playing catch-up.

Newt Gingrich, in particular, took Mitt to task today twice over:

  1. Romney’s insistence that he is not a career politician
  2. His connection to Super PACs running attack ads

After Rick Santorum asked Romney why he didn’t run for reelection in 2006 if he was such a successful governor, Newt told him to cut the “pious baloney.”

Later, Gingrich chastised the deluge of negative ads run by pro-Romney PACs, and specifically Mitt’s failure to disavow them in a public setting. Watch:

Katy Perry Thanks Fans, Tweets About Happy Heart, Takes Shot at Parents


Katy Perry returned to Twitter for the first time since her split from Russell Brand, and while she didn’t address that directly, she made a few telling remarks.

The 27-year-old, who has been laying low since Russell filed for divorce, thanked her fans for their concern and well-wishes during a very difficult time.

“I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world,” she Tweeted. “You guys have made my heart happy again.”

Her words for certain other figures in her life? A little less kind.

Katy, who was married a little over a year, lashed out at her parents last night for speaking publicly about her split from Russell – in church no less.

Keith and Mary Hudson, who are both Christian ministers, said that Katy’s divorce was a blessing in disguise, generating interest in their ministry.

Katy Tweeted last night that no one speaks for her … including her family. It seems she’s not happy with the comments they’ve been making.

“Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, ‘close sources’ or my family,” the singer wrote.

Chaz Bono: Saving Up For a Penis


Dancing With the Stars alumnus Chaz Bono is saving up the money to make his gender transformation that much more official. Yes, we’re talking about a penis transplant.

Chaz tells Rolling Stone that he will pursue a metoidioplasty.

If you haven’t stopped reading yet, he describes this as “a procedure that uses what you already have down there… which has grown larger from the testosterone.”

Chaz will be trying out the new equipment on someone other than Jennifer Ella, who he just broke up with after a long-term relationship in which he changed genders.

He opted for the metoidioplasty for the following reasons:

“You end up with a smaller phallus than with the phalloplasty (another similar type of procedure), but it’s fully functional, it gets erect, and the sensation is all there.”

The procedure will cost him between $25,000-$45,000.

You cannot put a price on manhood, however.

Justin Bieber Shirtless Alert: Singer Spotted in Cabo!


Justin Bieber has been spotted in Cabo.

The singer is on vacation down south with at least his father and Selena Gomez, both of whom were also photographed with him on the beach this week.

Justin is getting in some time for play before heading back to work, as he Tweeted from the resort: “Start work on #BELIEVE again. Full time in the studio next week.”

The beloved artist also caused a bit of a stir a few days ago by getting a large shot of Jesus Christ tattooed on left calf. Most admire the dedication to his faith, but some wonder whether a giant tattoo is a bit showy, considering the cause.

Bethenny Frankel to End Reality Show


With controversy all around her, Bethenny Frankel is pulling the plug on her reality show after three seasons.

The former Real Housewife of New York will “concentrate on her many business ventures,” an insider tells Us Weekly,” while the door will remain open for other projects with Bravo.”

Frankel has been under fire over the last few weeks. First, a lawsuit was filed against her line of margaritas, with questions arising over just how “all natural” the product is.

Then, Bethenny claimed she and her husband were lost at sea and nearly died, only for a witness to say otherwise and accuse her of manufacturing drama for her reality show. What a crazy notion, we know.

“As far as Bethenny Ever After goes, she feels that ending the show on a high note and ending it after this season would be best for her family,” the source says. “She doesn’t want her [20-month-old] daughter [Bryn] to grow up on TV.”

Season three premieres on February 20.

GOP Debate: Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich Spar on Foreign Policy


It’s hard not to see how Dr. Paul got the better of this one.

At last night’s GOP presidential debate in New Hampshire, Newt Gingrich was asked to respond to Ron Paul referring to has a Chicken Hawk in the past.

After a long-winded, largely irrelevant response by Gingrich, Paul said that description of Newt was correct, launching into his own opinions on veterans affairs.

When it comes to the power to wage war, and foreign affairs in general, Paul is unflinching in his views, even if they’re diametrically opposed to his counterparts’.

Moreover, Paul reiterated that he, despite being married with children, served in the Vietnam War when drafted. Watch the heated exchange below:

Mitt Romney Baffled By Contraception Question


GOP candidate and frontrunner Mitt Romney emerged largely unscathed from Saturday night’s debate in New Hampshire, which holds its primary on Tuesday.

At one point, though, he fielded a question from ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos about the constitutionality of contraception and his view on Roe vs. Wade.

Asked if the constitution permits states to ban contraception, Mitt was a bit baffled – even asking Ron Paul for clarification in one of the best lines of the night.

Mostly, however, he seemed baffled at why such a question was even asked (and likely wasn’t alone there). Watch the lengthy, awkward back-and-forth below:

Rick Perry Wants to Re-Invade Iraq


Rick Perry is still running for President.

Despite largely punting New Hampshire to focus on South Carolina in a bid to revive his struggling candidacy, the Texas Governor did show up at the Republican debate in New Hampshire last night, where he was on the offensive.

It’s as if he went in with the goal of appearing more hawkish and stronger on defense than any of the other candidates. That must have been the impetus for his claim that he would send troops back into Iraq … right?

Lindsay Lohan: Live Without Regrets!


Lindsay Lohan’s new tattoo suggests she’s ready to live without regrets.

Seriously, that’s what it says. Live without regrets.

Just a few months ago, Lohan had Billy Joel lyrics – “clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife, I feel like I’m in the prime of my life” – tattooed on her rib cage.

The new ink is much smaller and appears on the celebrity’s left wrist. Yay.

LiLo had the work done on Friday night, sources say.

The impetus for the new tattoo, supposedly, is that Lindsay’s at a great point in her life … and she wanted to do something she’d always remember. 

That’s nice for her and all, but also ironic, as the words “live without regrets” will now be etched permanently on her in a way she almost certainly will.

On the flip side, Playboy airbrushed its Lindsay Lohan pictures so much that you couldn’t even see her ink anyway, so there’s a workaround there at least.
