Despite what Twitter tries to convince us with its “Beyonce gives birth” proclamations, and as cute as the name Tiana May Carter might be, Beyonce is still pregnant.

One of the most hyped celebrity babies of all time has yet to arrive. 

You can’t believe everything that you read on social media. Beyonce and Jay Z were totally spotted dining at Brooklyn’s Buttermilk Channel on New Year’s Eve.

Her baby bump was present and accounted for. Rumor quashed.

Jay-Z and Beyonce’s baby is due in February.

The rumor started after the luxurious birthing suite at New York City’s St. Luke’s hospital was reserved last week, and “hospital staff” claimed it was for Beyonce.

Gossip spread like wildfire online, as these things have a way of doing, but rest assured, the beautiful bun in that oven will be baking for another month or so.

If that changes – or if Twitter tries to induce labor early – we’ll let you know.

Brandi Glanville is a married woman again … but may not be by the time you read this.

Temporary congratulations to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and her friend, Mixed Martial Arts manager Darin Harvey. They got hitched New Year’s Eve.

The 38-year-old model, whose ex-husband Eddie Cibrian famously left her for LeAnn Rimes, informed her Twitter followers of her new relationship status, writing:

“I’m married again – suuuuuuck it!”

The newlyweds celebrated in typical fashion, by visiting the Spearmint Rhino strip club. “Honeymoons with strippers are the best!” Glanville tweeted.

Brandi Glanville, who shares two sons with Cibrian, added that Darin Harvey is her “best friend forever” and she’s now an “official housewife, for reals.”

“After some beer and strippers he is now my husband,” she said. “No joke!”

No joke is right, but it won’t last. Calling their union “a drunken BFF thing,” Harvey told his Twitter followers that their booze-fueled elopement won’t last.

“I had a crazy Vegas moment,” he explained. “Getting annulled tomorrow.”

Third time’s the charm?

Britney Spears only just announced her engagement to Jason Trawick, but she’s already making plans for the big day, according to close family sources.

The singer is adamant that it be a much more low-key, traditional affair than her two previous weddings … both of which obviously did not turn out well.

Hey, you live and learn right?

An insider explains: “She wants a traditional Southern-style wedding with comfort food, surrounded by her family, her two sons and all of her childhood friends.”

With the exception of Jason Alexander, we’re guessing.

Insisting that she not have a “Hollywood wedding,” Britney “is taking this marriage really seriously.” Given everything she’s gone through, that’s good to hear.

Hopefully this is a relationship that really will be forever. After all the celebrity breakups we’ve chronicled in the past year, that would be a refreshing change.

Among them: Kim Kardashian, our reluctant Celebrity of the Year, and Fergie. The former hosted her very own party at nightclub TAO (i.e. she stood around on the red carpet and posed for photos), while the latter attended a bash at 1 Oak with husband Josh Duhamel.

Tom Cruise has still got it.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol continues to dominate the holiday box office, raking in an estimated $31.3 million over the three-day (Friday to Sunday) weekend.

That represents a 6 percent jump from Christmas weekend, when it also led the field. Ghost Protocol, the fourth entry in the franchise, has now made $134.1M total.

M:I-4 could top the first Cruise-led installment, which earned $181 million in 1996. It’s already surpassed Mission: Impossible 3, which topped out at $134 million.

In second place this weekend was Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which rose 9 percent to $22.1 million. The sequel has taken in $132.1 million in 17 days.

The original Sherlock Holmes, by comparison, earned $165.2 million by this point. Chipwrecked jumped an impressive 45 percent to finish third at $18.3 million.

The top five for the weekend:

Usher is taking action against his ex-wife and her recent allegations about the singer.

In late November, Tameka Raymond filed papers in a Georgia court that asked a judge to award her custody of the former couple’s two children on grounds that Usher reneged on multiple promises he made to her. For example, he supposedly canceled Tameka’s Saks 5th Avenue credit card.

The gall of this man, we know.

But now Usher has fired a legal shot of his own, denying all accusations in newly filed court documents and requesting that a judge to throw out his ex’s request for full custody of the two kids they currently share.

He has also refused to take a drug test, despite Tameka’s repeated attempts to force the issue.

A trial date has been set for February 27.

Yes, this is a real ad, seen by millions during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve the other night. Not unlike watching Clark attempting to count down the seconds until 2012, the “Forever Lazy” infomercial is awkward and unintentionally hilarious.

The ad, and product, have actually been around awhile, but never has its exposure been so great. Airing just before midnight on December 31, it helped ring in a whole new year of laziness – and comfort! – for millions nationwide. Snuggle up, people!

Basically, it’s like the pajamas little kids sleep in, only it’s for adults, and not for sleeping. And there’s a zipper in back so you don’t even have to take it off to relieve yourself.

Despite reports that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s New Year’s plans involved spending time at his father’s sprawling Scotland, estate, they chose a more low-key locale.

A tent pitched in the back garden of the Middleton family’s yard!

According to the U.K.’s Mail on Sunday, Pippa Middleton, who along with her parents is in the party-planning business, played host to the (relatively) small soiree.

The Middleton girls know how to dress – and party!

The stylish sister has expensive taste: The tent alone cost nearly $5,000 (or 3,000 in British pounds) to set up behind their home in Berkshire, England.

Described by an onlooker as a “canvas palace,” the tent enclosed a dance floor and seating for more than 100 party-goers ready to ring in 2012.

“[Kate Middleton] looked full of the joys of the season,” a party-goer said of 2011′s royal bride, 29, who laughed and joked with her husband, also 29.

The celebration in her hometown with Pippa, 27, comes nearly a week after the Duchess’ first Christmas as a royal in Sandringham, Norfolk.

Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is opening up about overcoming her daughter Aliannah’s health issues, which have been a focal point of the show’s second season.

On last week’s episode, doctors finally told her that Ali is not suffering from any mental abnormalities, even though one of her optic nerves is indeed smaller.

“I was relieved,” says Leah Messer, who has watched Aliannah, 2, develop at an alarmingly slower rate than her twin sister, Aleeah. “The worst thing I could’ve heard would be that there’s something wrong with Aliannah’s brain.”

While Leah has tried her best to hide her nerves from her daughter, “it was pretty hard and emotional as a mom to know that something could be wrong with my child.”

So while Aleeah took her first steps nearly a year ago, Leah’s just as proud of Aliannah’s scooting around on her knees and making progress with her physical therapist.

“She’s doing great,” gushes Leah.

Doctors have yet to rule out a genetic disorder for Ali, but still, Leah’s thinking about expanding her family – not with ex-husband Corey Simms, but with her new BF.

In fact, some rumors say that Leah and boyfriend Jeremy Calvert, who are heating up fast, are expecting. We don’t believe that for a second, but they are serious.

“Jeremy and I do talk about getting engaged,” she reveals.
