First Lady Michelle Obama shops at Target? Who knew!

Well, now you do. We meant before reading this story.

The 47-year-old mother of two was recently seen taking a shopping cart through Target in Alexandria, Va., just outside D.C., carrying two bags full of purchases.

The fashionable First Lady dressed down for the occasion.

If she weren’t swarmed by Secret Service agents and photographers every waking moment, the American style icon might even be considered incognito in a gray Nike baseball cap, sunglasses and a casual buttoned top.

That said, she seemed to make her way through the store without too much commotion. A source tells People that Michelle “picked up dog food and toys for Bo,” among other undisclosed household items. For the White House.

Effing Snooki. Just kidding. Seeing if you’re paying attention!

SNL great and 30 Rock Emmy-winner Tina Fey is TV’s highest-paid actress, according to Forbes, as is Desperate Housewives‘ Eva Longoria. Both stars tied with $13 million in earnings between May 2010 and May 2011. Impressive.

Both stars also earned big bucks outside their TV roles.

Fey’s book Bossypants has been a huge seller, while Longoria’s deals with L’Oréal and LG are highly lucrative. Third on the list? Eva’s co-star Marcia Cross.

Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay and soon-to-be-former CSI cast member Marg Helgenberger earned a healthy $10 million apiece to tie for third place.

Cougar Town‘s Courteney Cox and Ellen Pompeo of Grey’s Anatomy both earned $7 million, while The Good Wife star Juliana Margulies made $6 million.

Desperate‘s Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman also made the Top 10.

Hugh Hefner may have given it to Crystal Harris on multiple occasions, but the Playboy founder’s former fiancee is about to give it right back to her ex – but giving away his engagement ring!

TMZ has actually posted the listing for this 3.39 carat rock, which will go up for auction in October at Christie’s, a famous auction house in New York City. It’s expected to fetch between $20,000 to $30,000.

Why is Harris parting with the stone? Because, insiders say, the busty blonde “couldn’t bear to look at the ring anymore because it brought back bad memories.”

And if you truly believe that’s the reason, you likely also believe the Boston Red Sox still have a shot to make the playoffs this season.

Angelina Jolie’s children have had a very busy week. On Monday, the actress took Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3, to a playdate with Gwen Stefani’s son Kingston, 5. (Based on the photos, it appears that the troop got into their mommies’ makeup bags during their session!) Then, on Tuesday, Angelina took her oldest girls to a small salon in London to get their ears pierced. According to the U.K.’s The Sun, which first reported the story, Zahara picked out a pair of 18-karat-gold studs, but after Shiloh watched her big sister go through the process — apparently, she burst into tears and compared the feeling of the piercing gun to being stapled — the tomboyish 5-year-old backed out and left with both of her ears intact.

Both of the activities were, on the face of it, quite normal: Yes, Shiloh and Zahara are a bit on the young side, but it’s far from unheard of for girls their age to be getting their ears pierced. However, the confluence of press-friendly outings does seem a bit contrived. Is there any chance that Angelina got sick of seeing so much news last week about her partner Brad Pitt’s negative comments on his marriage to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston (and about Jen and new boyfriend Justin Theroux’s responses)? If so, we must congratulate the star on a perfectly coordinated counterattack: If anything has the ability to push the Brad-Jen saga off the (metaphorical) front page, it’s Brad and Angelina’s gorgeous kids!

Unlike most supposedly Real Housewives, Kandi Burruss possesses an actual talent – and she’ll soon put it to use on her own reality program.

Bravo has given the greenlight to The Kandi Factory, which will follow around this Grammy winner as she mentors a pair of pop-singing hopefuls.

“With her breakout personality and straightforward attitude, Bravo fans have grown to love Kandi on The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Bravo’s VP of Development Eli Lehrer says. “The Kandi Factory will capture a unique look at her successful music career as Kandi transforms two music hopefuls into the next big pop star.”

Burruss – who won the aforementioned Grammy for TLC’s “No Scrubs” – returns as part of fourth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on November 6. Check out the new promo for what’s ahead on that series NOW.

TGIF? Not for Teresa Giudice.

A witness tells Radar Online that this Real Housewife’s husband may be cheating on her because he had an allegedly cozy meal with another woman at a T.G.I. Friday’s on Tuesday night in Clifton, New Jersey.

Joe and this rumored mistress were “in a booth,” the onlooker claims and “were drinking martinis and when the woman finished hers she took a sip out of Joe’s glass, too. They looked like they were having a good time together and laughing with each other.”

This isn’t the first time Joe has been accused of possessing a wandering eye and/or other body parts. A report last year said the guy likes strippers.

The other woman appeared to be in her late 20s or early 30s, the witness says, adding that things got REALLY steamy later in the night:

After a waiter brought the pair wet naps, the lady opened hers and “wiped Joe’s hands off with hers. It was really intimate to see her touching his hands like that.”

We can imagine! It’s getting hot in here just thinking about this. Sorry, Teresa, but it’s time to hire a divorce lawyer.

A pair of much-anticipated films hit theaters today. What did we think of 50/50 and What’s Your Number? Both comedies succeed, albeit in different ways.

Actor Seth Rogen and writer Will Reiser lived the experience portrayed in 50/50, at once a comedy about cancer (that actually works) and a poignant story.

With Joseph Gordon-Levitt portraying Resier’s cancer patient and Rogen as his BFF, the pair combine to bring audiences an astounding character study.

Far less original but still entertaining is What’s Your Number?

That’s not a question we’re asking, the punctuation mark is part of the title of this film starring Anna Faris and based on the book 20 Times a Lady.

What’s Your Number? follows a Bostonian named Ally in her quest to reexamine her exes based on the belief – thanks to a magazine article – that women who have slept with 20+ men have trouble finding a husband. Ally’s number is 19.

The plot is predictable but enjoyable thanks to Faris, who insights a laugh with merely a look, and co-star Chris Evans, with whom she enjoys fun chemistry.

Brennin Hunt is a 26-year old model who said on The X Factor last night that he’s “the total package.” Not exactly the best way to endear oneself to an audience.

But then Hunt stopped talking and starting singing, delivering a strong performance on an original track, always a bold step for any contestant to take. Simon Cowell was certainly impressed, saying he could turn Brennin into a major star.

Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael, screamed out for her father as he died, according to chilling testimony in the Conrad Murray manslaughter trial.

“Paris screamed out, ‘Daddy!’” Alberto Alvarez said. “She was crying.”

Alvarez, a bodyguard/security guard for the King of Pop, was the voice on the Michael Jackson 911 call played yesterday, the third day of the trial.

Paris Jackson and brother Prince Michael earlier this summer.

Paris, now 13, endeared herself to millions with her touching tribute to Michael at his memorial service. Having seen what she did, it’s all the more moving.

While Dr. Conrad Murray was giving chest compressions on an unresponsive Jackson, he shouted to Alvarez, “Don’t let them see their dad like this.”

Alvarez says he turned to Prince and Paris, who were crying, and said, “‘Kids, don’t worry, we’ll take care of it. Everything’s going to be okay.’”

“Then I asked Dr. Murray what happened. He said, ‘He had a bad reaction.’”

Alvarez, whose job it was to go places before Jackson and make sure everything was safe and to the singer’s liking, said in court that he noticed that his boss was lying with his palms up, eyes slightly open and mouth agape.

There was medical equipment everywhere, including a condom catheter that had drained urine. Alvarez says Murray then shifted his focus from giving CPR and asked Alvarez to assist him in packing up medical bottles and equipment.

Alvarez’s testimony may cast new doubts on Murray’s defense theory – that the star killed himself accidentally with a Propofol injection when the physician left the room – due to recollections of Murray’s behavior and the timeline of events.
