During a live appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe today, the political analyst was asked about President Obama’s behavior yesterday during a meeting with Republicans, inquired about whether or not the show was on a seven-second delay and then said:

Halperin, who co-authored the book “Game Change,” has been suspended indefinitely by the network and said in a statement:

“I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the president, to my MSNBC colleagues, and to the viewers. My remark was unacceptable, and I deeply regret it.”

Lindsay Lohan had her ankle monitor removed and was released from house arrest around 10:20 a.m. Pacific Time yesterday.

Last night, she partied with friends at the Lexington Social House in Los Angeles. We’re as shocked as you are: she didn’t go there for a late breakfast?!?

Lohan reportedly spent the evening with actors Emile Hirsch and Lyndsy Fonseca, barely making it out of the club without falling as she tried (and failed) to hide from a swarm of paparazzi.

It’s nice to see this star getting back to what she does best, isn’t it?

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is a very talented actor with a very troubled personal life.

Great Britain’s The Sun reports that paramedics arrived at the star’s house in London Tuesday night because he swallowed pills in what is believed to be a suicide attempt.

“This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life,” an insider tells the newspaper.

Earlier this month, The Tudors star checked into a five-star rehabilitation clinic in South Africa. It was his fifth stint in such a facility.

Let’s all hope there’s still time for Rhys-Meyers to find his way.

UPDATE: A Scotland Yard spokesman says: “We can confirm we were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in NW8 to report to a man refusing treatment. Police attended, and the man was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. That was the end of our involvement.”

A friend, meanwhile, says the actor “relapsed,” but did not try to kill himself.

The multi-talented star is part of Specific Media, the group that purchased MySpace from News Corp. yesterday $35 million. Said the company in a press release:

“As part of the deal, Emmy and Grammy winning artist Justin Timberlake will also take an ownership stake and play a major role in developing the creative direction and strategy for the company moving forward. Specific Media and Timberlake plan to unveil their vision for the site in an exclusive press conference later this summer.”

With Facebook ruling the online world and Google getting into the social networking game, MySpace would not seem to a venture with strong prospects.

But Timberlake is one of the most talented musicians of this generations, one of the funniest SNL hosts of all-time and has dated Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel, among other. Do you really wanna bet against him?

But there’s one area in which the new Presidentual candidate may bristle when compared to the former Vice Presidential nominee: fashion.

In a recent interview, in fact, Bristol Palin said Bachmann has taken the look that her mother popularized, telling Pop Eater: “I think she dresses a lot like my mom. But a lot, a lot of women have done that the last few years. I do think it’s odd, you know, seeing people with red blazers with their hair up with glasses.”

Society sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton are experiencing some major sibling rivalry.

Spies at Avenue nightclub’s two-year anniversary party in New York City recently spotted newly single Paris with her old sidekick Nicky —and one party-goer told In Touch it was obvious that Nicky was less than thrilled to be back in the club scene with her party-hopping sister. “Paris kept poking her and asking Nicky over and over why she was being so ‘lame,’” says the onlooker. “In front of all their friends, Paris called Nicky ‘boring’ and ‘lame’ numerous times throughout the night.”

The spy adds, “Nicky finally snapped back,” telling Paris she was “annoying” and “rude” before storming out. The harsh words continued, with Paris telling friends that she and Nicky have been going at it “a lot lately.” She even complained that she wanted “a separate hotel room for the night so she could be away from Nicky!” says the source.

The sisters’ younger brother Barron Hilton has also been confiding to friends that he is “sick of hearing about his sisters’ fights.” He even admitted that his sisters “have too much animosity towards each other” and went so far as to say “they won’t ever be friends again!”

Barron “knows they hate each other” one insider confesses to In Touch. “But he doesn’t want to hear about it anymore from either of them. He thinks they are so fake.” Too bad they didn’t save some of this bickering for their reality show — it would have probably made for better ratings!

Justin Bieber was his usual, calm, cute self at last weekend’s BET Awards.

He battled Jaden Smith in a Fashion Face-Off, he flirted with Nicki Minaj on stage. But sources confirm that a confrontation took place prior to the show, as Justin and his team tried to enter the event.

Detailed in the video above, Justin’s entourage was stopped at the door because one of his bodyguards did not have a ticket. Both sides argued and Bieber jumped in, saying:

“I need to bring my security! This guy’s a douche bag.”

The bodyguard eventually entered the auditorium, Bieber presented his award smoothly and a rep for BET simply said of the incident:

“It is our standard policy to make sure everyone has their tickets or credential upon arrival. Justin had the proper credentials.”

This isn’t the first time Justin’s security team has created a raucous. One of its member actually tangled with a New York police officer last week during a misunderstanding in the Big Apple.

Filming yourself choking a porn star and then committing suicide is sure to upset a few folks.

But a British group known as Mothers Against Violence has taken criticism of Eminem to a new level. In a recent statement, the organization bashes the heck out of the rapper for his “Space Bound” music video (below), referring to the star as “evil.”

“People who do this are really quite evil,” the group says. “Children are influenced by the things they see. If we feed violence, it becomes strong. Like an addiction. It’s all about the money with these videos. Eminem isn’t thinking about the families affected. It’s selfish – it comes to a point when selfishness becomes evil.”
