Dad-of-two Javier Colon has been named the first-ever winner of NBC‘s
hit show, The Voice, narrowly beating out runner-up Dia Frampton by a two-percent margin. Of his win — which includes a prize of a recording
contract and $100,000 in cash — Javier says, “I’m a firm believer in what’s meant to be is meant to be.”
The soulful pop singer was an immediate favorite of coach Adam Levine, who was joined on the judging panel by Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green. And good news for Voice fans: NBC has confirmed that all four judges are returning for season two, which is scheduled to air midseason on Mondays (8-10 p.m. ET). “Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of The Voice this year and we are thrilled that they are all returning,” says Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Studios. “We look forward to building season two and making The Voice an even greater experience for fans.”

The defense rested today in the Casey Anthony trial, bringing to an end two weeks’ worth of evidence presentation and witness testimony. It did so with the Anthony choosing not to take the stand.
The prosecution will now present a rebuttal case, but it is barely even expected to last a day. Closing arguments will follow, with jury deliberations possibly getting underway this holiday weekend.
If Casey is found guilty of killing her daughter, she could be executed by the state.

Stephen Colbert will not be our next President. But he may have a say who gets the job.
The comedian/talk show host won approval today from the Federal Election Committee to form a SuperPAC, meaning Colbert can raise money and produce/buy television time for political advertisements.
“Moments ago the Federal Election Committee made their ruling,” Colbert said ta crown below outside the FEC headquarters. “And ladies and gentlemen I’m sorry to say, we won!”
Stephen Colbert Super PAC Announcement
How did this come about? Former FEC Chairman Robert Lenhard said the ruling “means people can use their network’s resources to fund their own PAC ads without needing to report it on their network, on their show.”
As for the host of The Colbert Report? Added Lenhard:
“I think he’s going to have fun. But until he gets at least a million dollars he’s not going to run many ads outside of his show.”
Colbert is already working on that, however. He solicited donations from fans during his speech, telling supporters: “I don’t know about you but I do not accept limits on my free speech, I don’t know about you but I do not accept the status quo. But I do accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.”

A fourth Toy Story movie is in the works. Tom Hanks, the voice of Woody, told Hollyscoop. “I think there will be, yeah. I think they’re working on it now. I hope they need me.”
The veteran actor’s youth came out as he shared his love for one character in particular. “Woody was fantastic,” Tom gushed. “I loved playing a puppet. I think he’s better than Buzz Lightyear. I just hope he holds on to his hat.”
As for the storyline, Tom wouldn’t share what some of our favorite toys have in store. The fourth of the series must somehow top Toy Story 3, which was the most successful of the series as well as the highest-grossing animation movie of all time, with its revenue being over $1 billion.

Anthony Weiner likely wanted to set a good example for folks during his time in office. But we doubt this is what he had in mind,
Joe Stangni, a Louisiana Councilman, has been caught in a Twitter scandal after The New Orleans Times-Picayune published a photo he sent of himself in his underwear to a town employee.
Explained the politician after this picture leaked: “I had an inappropriate but consensual relationship with an adult female and we exchanged improper electronic communications which ended in 2009. I did not use any government computer or city issued equipment to send or receive these communications.”

Following the guidelines of Famous Person Apology 101, Stangi invoked a Higher Power in his statement, adding:
“I asked for God’s mercy and forgiveness. I apologized to my wife and family and asked for their forgiveness as well. My actions and bad judgment had nothing to do with my duties and responsibilities as a public official. They were private acts, but I take full responsibility for my irresponsible behavior. This matter has been a painful experience for my family and I pray that everyone will allow our family to continue to heal. I am sorry.”
The most embarrassing part of all this? At least Weiner had something to show off.

A man named Justin John Bieber is creating quite the stir on Facebook for two reasons:
- His name.
- The fact that he goes off on Justin Bieber.

A 50-year old man, this Justin Bieber feels as attached to his name as Michael Bolton did on Office Space: he was here first, he thinks the other Justin Bieber is a “punk ass little bandit” and he has no intention of changing it!
We don’t approve of some of Justin John’s language or reference, but it’s better to see a middle-aged man turning away “little girls” than trying to friend them, isn’t it?
UPDATE: Apparently this Facebook profile is a fake and the picture is of French computer scientist Michael Xhaard.

Shia LaBeouf may come across as a sort of shady dirtball who kisses and tells. But an on-set source says this about the Transformers star:
He’s not a liar.

Get a room, Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf. Wait, you allegedly already did!
Following the actor’s admission that he slept with Megan Fox during shooting on the movie’s sequel a couple years ago, an insider confirms to Us Weekly:
“Yes, Megan and Shia hooked up… I think they were drawn together because it was so ugly working on that film,” adding that Fox was NOT dating Brian Austin Green at the time because “they had a 10-month break before getting back together.”
This mole also says Fox was not fired from the franchise. She simply said “enough and quit.”
