Good to see Lindsay Lohan is taking her situation seriously.

Having been thrown in jail just hours ago, the much-maligned star’s latest mug shot has been released, featuring our girl wearing a sharp orange jumpsuit.

She’s also wearing some smart-ass smirk.

One of our all-time favorite celebrity mug shots was taken moments after Lindsay arrived at Lynwood Correctional Facility to begin a 90-day jail sentence.

According to her booking sheet, Lindsay checked in at 5′6″ and 118 pounds … Big enough to kick someone’s a$$? Or will she be someone’s b!tch?

Lindsay Lohan’s mug shot, released a little whole ago, puts to rest any doubt that this jail sentence will wipe the smirk off the brat’s face … at least for a day or two.

Forget the Royal Wedding of the Century.

We may be looking at an all-time royal mess.

Despite engagement rumors floating over her head, Kate Middleton is reportedly considering an end to her relationship with Prince William. The reason? A four-year old photo that proves he cheated on her with British singer Natasha Hamilton.

It’s unclear why this picture, which was published in tabloids at the time, is causing a stir now – but insiders say it’s due to Kate’s realization that William has been “disrespectful” to her for a long time, and will continue to be even if they get married.

“Kate is now being warned by royal courtiers that she must be prepared for William to follow in his philandering father’s footsteps and take a mistress,” a source told The National Enquirer.

The tabloid even quotes one of the Queen’s advisors, who allegedly said to Middleton:

“It won’t be IF he does, my dear. It will be WHEN he does – and then you must simply turn a blind eye.”

Kate felt “physically ill” at this possibility, the source reports, causing her to rethink the wedding. We have no idea why. According to Mel Gibson, a woman’s place is on her knees, not on some high horse.

Give William a break, girlfriend!

Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is seen as a diva by many.

She says it’s not true, but other cast members may still be jealous.

“Myself, Pauly, Vinny and Jenny [J-Woww], we’ve all stayed the same,” Snooki says in the new issue of Steppin’ Out. “We’re the closest friends in the house.”

“I trust them with my life… It hasn’t gotten to our heads.”

But Snook points out that herself and The Situation have become more in demand as celebs, which might foster resentment with the Sammis of the world.

SNOOKIMANIA: It’s no Bieber Fever, but it’s pretty big.

“I know the others want the same opportunities that Mike and I get, but we don’t control those things,” she says. “I can understand why the others might be jealous. They aren’t doing anything, but they should still be happy for me.”

Snooki does lament her newfound fame to a degree.

“I miss my old life,” she sighs. “I miss being able to be around my family and at home. I miss going out with my friends and going out to a bar. I can’t do that anymore. When I try to do that, I get attacked by the fans.”

Sometimes literally.

“I won’t open up to anyone,” she says, “except my best friend who I’ve known since I was 2 years old and my family and management team. That’s it.”

Production on Seasons 2-3 of Jersey Shore came screeching to a halt as Snooki and her pals threatened to go on strike, but it’s all good now. Fist-pump!

His business might be faltering this season on Entourage, but the love life of Jerry Ferrara is just heating up!

New reports suggest that the actor who plays Turtle on that HBO comedy has moved on from Jamie-Lynn Sigler. He might be dating socialite Brittny Gastineau.

A witness tells Life & Style the pair went to a movie together on June 18 and “they were cute,” going as far as to share popcorn and sit together – in the dark!

Gastineau is the daughter of a former professional football player. She’s basically who Kim Kardashian would be if the latter did not star in a sex tape and own huge breasts.

As we reported yesterday, Rachel Uchitel joined the cast of Celebrity Rehab. Amazingly, her addiction is not having affairs with married celebrities, but drugs.

Of the prescription variety: Ambien to be precise.

That ring any bells? It should, considering that she did the drug with Tiger Woods, whose Ambien-fueled sex romps with his chief mistress are no secret.

He also dreamed of an Uchitel-Derek Jeter-David Boreanaz threesome during an Ambien-fueled dream at one point, but that’s a story for another time.

In new email messages between Uchitel and Woods obtained by Radar Online, the golfer asked her for Ambien – and she worried about their addiction.

“Would it be possible for you to get us some more Ambien,” Woods emailed her in November of last year, right before his cheating ways were exposed.

FORMER LOVERS: Of each other, and of Ambien.

Uchitel responded, “Ok, but we need to talk about this. I don’t know how to deal with us possibly being addicted to prescription meds. What can I say to make you stop taking Ambien excessively? What can I do to prove that I’m worried?”

“I feel like taking pills is my only alternative!” Woods answered.

There is no indication that Tiger is or was addicted to Ambien, a sedative and hypnotic known to increase sexual pleasure immediately after it is taken.

Rachel Uchitel is another story.

Their affair came to a crashing halt when Tiger’s Escalade crashed into a tree following his attempt to flee an enraged Elin Woods, but it doesn’t look like the professional adulterer has slowed down in her Ambien consumption since.

She joined Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew this week. Celebrity Apprentice had been courting her as well, but the Donald is no longer interested.

The actress appeared on The Wendy Williams Show this week and explained why she’s a proud member of Team Edward. Apparently, JLH showed up at the premiere of Eclipse, excited to get a photo of Lautner and show it off to her friends.

NOTE: For once, this Jennifer Aniston news is actually true – and scary.

The actress has been granted a restraining order against Jason Peyton, a man arrested after prowling around her Hollywood Hills house last week.

He had a sharp object and duct tape with him at the time … yikes.

Peyton was found on July 15, “laying-in-wait in a location he believes she frequents.” Aniston’s lawyer says he spent eight days trying to find her.

“Peyton is an obsessed, mentally ill, delusional stalker – with a history of violence and criminal stalking – who drove cross-country in his delusional ‘mission’ to locate and marry [Jen], with whom he believes he is in a relationship,” court documents say.

The stalker was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold and must stay 100 yards away from her home, places of work, vehicles, employees and reps.

Peyton, who has been institutionalized before, has been ordered to take antipsychotic drugs but authorities say he stopped taking them in March.

He believes he’s related to Oprah, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Courteney Cox, Bill and Melinda Gates, President George Bush (both) and Donald Trump.

LAPD’s Threat Management Unit is involved in the case.

Sounds serious. Here’s hoping Jen finds comfort in the arms of new boyfriend Chris Gartin, or in the fact that she’s going to be a mom! Again!

Levi Johnston’s feud with Sarah Palin was well documented.

We’ll see if his own mother makes that look like child’s play.

The Playgirl model’s mom, Sherry, and his sister, Mercede Johnston, are not pleased at the way in which they learned of Levi and Bristol’s second engagement.

That would be via celebrity gossip publications … naturally.

“You would think that a normal family would call you and say, ‘We’re getting married.’ We found out through the media, which is heartbreaking and rude,” Mercede, who recently started up an anti-Palin blog, told Inside Edition.

Hard to argue with that, MJ.

After first hearing about her son’s decision to walk down the aisle in a tabloid magazine, drug dealer Sherry even fears she won’t be welcome at the nuptials.

“I would be absolutely devastated if I wasn’t invited to the wedding it would be the last straw. They should elope if they can’t have both the Johnstons and the Palins together. But don’t leave us out of it. That would kill me,” she says.

Speaking of the Sarah Palin, she must have been too busy making up words and comparing herself to Shakespeare, because she was out of the loop as well.

She said in a vapid statement about the news: “Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what’s best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our lives.”

Last month, Miley Cyrus made one of the most confusing, ridiculous comments on record, saying there’s a double standard at work between the negative reaction she receives on stage and the praise heaped upon Zac Efron in movies.

However, Miley also showed love for the former High School Musical star, telling Billy Bush:

“Zac has a special place in my heart. If it wasn’t creepy and he wasn’t my friend, I would have posters of him on my wall.”

After being shown this interview, Efron had the following to say to Access Hollywood about Cyrus: “I’ve known her since she was a little girl. It’s amazing what she’s done. She’s blossomed into this beautiful lady and taking the world by storm. I’m so proud of her.”

In other words: Zac is the anti-THG when it comes to Miley Cyrus.

As he tours the country in promotion of Charlie St. Cloud, meanwhile, Efron stopped by the Mall of America in Minnesota yesterday.
