Paris Hilton was arrested in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium for allegedly smoking marijuana a few hours ago at a World Cup match.

Not as surprising as the Netherlands’ 2-1 win over Brazil, but unexpected!

The socialite was taken to the Mount Road Police Station in St. Croix, S.A. just before 8 p.m., Det. Mark Magadlela later confirmed to local news organizations.

It is believed that Hilton was indeed at the police station but has since been released. No further specifics were given as to why the ho-tel heiress was busted.

Details of Paris’ arrest remain murky at best.

Paris Hilton’s Los Angeles-based lawyer says the 29-year-old has served her probation period, after her 2007 conviction for alcohol-related reckless driving.

Unlike Lindsay Lohan, her probation is complete (as of January 2010), taking a lot of the potential heat off her from this screw-up, whatever it consisted of.

One TMZ source also reports that Paris wasn’t smoking dope, but an officer has reportedly said that Paris was caught red-handed in possession of weed.

Another report suggests it was a member of her entourage caught with the stuff, rather than Hilton herself, but that the whole crew was subsequently booked.

UPDATE 7/3: Paris is off the hook for the whole thing, and has been released from custody, with police reportedly even apologized for misidentifying her. Her rep claims the culprit already pleaded guilty, paid a small fine and was released.

Her divorce all but a formality, Elin Nordegren Woods will very soon walk away from her six-year marriage with Tiger Woods with approximately $100 million.

The completion of Tiger Woods’ divorce papers came to light this week after months of speculation over what eventually became a question of when, not if.

A source with direct knowledge says the payout is $100,000,000.

Originally, we had heard that Elin would score $750 million from the golfer, a figure reported by the New York Daily News, MSNBC, the UK’s Sun and others.

That number is way, way off … not that a hundred mill is shabby.

No idea where they got that amount, but it would be hard to pay out that much, given that Tiger Woods, for all his sports godliness, is not even worth that.

His net worth is somewhere between $500-600 million, Forbes says, and they also had a prenup. However, $100 million is more than it would have allotted.

Way more. Guess she had leverage … a lot of it. Her biggest chip, aside from his 847 mistresses, was confidentiality – the cost of her silence proved steep.

Sources say Elin Woods will also receive child support, but the specific amount is unclear at this time. The $100 million is not speculation, though – it’s done.

Not only is she set for life, but Elin can take solace in the fact that Rachel Uchitel scored a paltry $10 million from Tiger to keep her mouth shut. Sucker!

It was already a he said, she said battle for the ages, but find a hat, then hold the f*%k onto it, ’cause Vienna Girardi is really taking it to Jake Pavelka now.

In a new clip from Monday’s episode of The Bachelorette, which will feature a joint interview with the formerly engaged couple, she drops this bomb on him:

“You are the biggest fake liar I’ve ever met in my entire life.”

BAM. Talk about getting owned. But Jake, not to sit there and be humiliated, snaps back, “Who’s the guy you had on Saturday night at the apartment?”

That would be Greek star Gregory Michael, whose name is bleeped out in the clip, and whose affair with Vienna was supposedly the last straw for Jake.

On Good Morning America Friday, host-pimp Chris Harrison admits their first face-to-face encounter since their split was “definitely contentious.”

In the first clip released yesterday, Girardi, a former Hooters waitress, defends herself for selling details about their love life to a tabloid, claiming she had to.

“Jake felt really betrayed that she sold these very intimate stories,” Harrison adds. “That’s where it got heated. Jake really takes offense that he was sold out.”

Among those stories he was so upset: That while we’ve all seen Vienna Girardi nude or close to it, Jake had no interest in hitting that for months on end!

Chelsea Clinton and fiancé Marc Mezvinsky are getting married this month. The location is the Upstate New York village of Rhinebeck. Save the date for July 31!

According to a local resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he/she isn’t authorized to divulge the information, divulged away anyway on Friday.

Marc Mezvinsky and Chelsea Clinton will wed at a private mansion just outside the town about two hours north of New York City, the Hudson Valley News says.

The wedding will take place at the former estate of John Jacob Astor IV.

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky got engaged last year.

That property is known for its breathtaking mountain and river views and is situated about 70 miles away from the Clintons’ family home in Chappaqua, N.Y.

Reports say that a local caterer will be providing the food, while area high school and college students have been hired to help get the grounds into shape.

Chelsea is the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Marc Mezvinsky is an investment banker in New York.

According to a report, the slap-happy server was envious of Lindsay’s friendship with the woman’s ex, former Hills star Doug Reinhardt. Hopefully, the actress will have better luck during her probation violation hearing on July 6, where the judge may rule that she no longer is required to wear her alcohol-monitoring band. Lindsay, who was placed on probation in 2007 after two DUI arrests, was in hot water with the LA court for missing a hearing while she partied at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

We reported her accusations in graphic detail last week, but Molly Hagerty, Al Gore’s sexual assault accuser, faces myriad questions about her credibility.

Namely, that she went shopping her story for money years after the fact.

Police in Portland, Ore., announced that they are reopening the investigation into allegations of sexual abuse against former the former Vice President.

The accusation of unwanted sexual contact came from massage therapist Molly Hagerty, who was called to his hotel room at 4 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2006.

Gore says he received a massage, but denies acting inappropriately. Hagerty says that he repeatedly forced himself upon her, despite her objections.

He was never charged and the case was dropped due to insufficient evidence. It’s being reviewed, but there are reasons to be suspicious of Hagerty:

Why didn’t she just leave?

She said she feared she would be raped, a somewhat dubious claim in itself, or “accosted by some security detail,” when Gore had no detail that night.

Why did she wait weeks to make her initial complaint to police?

Hagerty waited six weeks to mention this, but she contends she told her friends immediately, and police may be interested in interviewing those people.

Why did she cancel interviews with police regarding the case?

Hagerty nixed three interviews with detectives about her criminal complaint. Three years later, Hagerty changed her mind again and decided to pursue it.

Did she receive money to tell her story?

The million-dollar question, possibly literally. Hagerty has twice been interviewed by the National Enquirer, which unabashedly and routinely pays sources.

As the Rielle Hunter-John Edwards and Tiger Woods-Rachel Uchitel scandals prove, that doesn’t mean they lie. But it does make you question motive.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub was spotted out partying again with her new “girlfriend,” singer Lori Michaels, in New York City.

If you thought no one would stoop so low as to pretend to be bisexual and exploit the gay community for publicity, then you haven’t met Danielle Staub.

The two were hanging out all night, though, whatever that’s worth. Danielle and Lori attended Damon Dash’s birthday party at Lucky Strike in the Big Apple.

The two “lovebirds” were up close and definitely having a good time. Tom Murro, from Celebrity Magnet, says the pair was “intertwined” at the soiree …

Is Danielle Staub using Lori Michaels for publicity?

“They were very kissy feely, all snuggled up,” he said.

Sure were. She made sure it was caught on film, too.

Looks like DS only has eyes for one fake lover, at least. After chatting with Danielle, Murro offered to show her the video of Elvira Garu, the show’s new vixen.

Danielle slammed the blonde party planner and the show: “I have no interest in seeing that b!tch and don’t even watch the show,” the Bravo star snapped.

Well, that settles that. Glad we’re able to report this breaking news. No word if there was a screening of the Danielle Staub sex tape at the party later.
