That turned ugly fast: Oksana Grigorieva has filed a restraining order against Mel Gibson. Though no details have been made public, Mel also reportedly filed a restraining order against her. The couple, who have a 7-month-old daughter, Lucia, together, ended their one-year relationship — which reportedly caused the demise of his 28-year-marriage — in April. “I can tell you that we have split up, suddenly and recently,” Oksana said at that time. “Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will find out everything quite soon.”

Remembering Michael: “He definitely wasn’t gay,” says Tito


As the world honors Michael Jackson on the first anniversary of his death today, his older brother Tito tells In Touch exclusively how his brother’s legacy should live on forever with his fans — and his children. “I want them to remember that their father was a genius!” Tito tells In Touch of Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, 8. “My brother was the greatest entertainer who ever lived, in every way. He was electrifying, he did things that we hadn’t seen before, he had ideas no one had thought of before.” Tito says that Michael’s good works far outshadow the rumors that plagued his brother, especially with regard to his sexuality. “As far as I’ve always known, my brother had more sex than I did with women,” says Tito. “He definitely wasn’t gay. He was not a rugged, beer-slinging type of man. Michael wouldn’t beat you up; he would beat you with his brain.” As far as Tito is concerned, Michael should be remembered for his generosity of spirit. “My brother was a gift to us from God,” says Tito. “He gave us great music, he left a lot of great gifts and videos behind and the donations of his estate — those are beautiful things. That just shows you the heart and the respect he had for the unprivileged, people that weren’t as blessed as he was. Michael hoped for a world free of pain and misery, and I hope it transforms from a dream to a reality for him.”

ARod, AnnaLynne and More: Photos from the Eclipse Premiere


At last night’s Hollywood premiere of Eclipse…

Oksana Grigorieva Accuses Mel Gibson of “Extremely Violent” Behavior


Not so fast, Mel Gibson.

Earlier today, we reported that this troubled actor filed for a restraining order against ex-girlfriend and current baby mama Oksana Grigorieva.

But TMZ has learned Grigorieva’s lawyers beat Gibson to it: the attorneys scheduled an emergency hearing in family law court on Monday, telling the judge an order of protection was needed against Gibson because he acted “extremely violent” toward their client.

If this allegation is true, it would only be shocking because Oksana isn’t Jewish.

One-Time Couple

In response to his former lover’s filing, Gibson’s order only prohibits Grigorieva from releasing certain pieces of information. Those tidbits appear related to confronations that began in January.

A source close to the actor acknowledges some sort of fight took place, but says the pair traveled together happily soon afterwards. This insider added:

“In these cases, when somebody cries wolf, the judge is mandated to assume there’s a wolf, until a full hearing can be held.”

Meanwhile, a Grigorieva source also alluded to events in early 2010 and argued his acquaintance’s side: “There were other acts after January that were not physical but still constituted domestic violence.”

Sadly, this gives new meaning to Gibson’s classic Lethal Weapon franchise.

Ex-Wife, Daughter Speak on John Edwards Affair, Savaging of Their Lives


John Edwards and his daughter Cate used to be tight.

Then, the disgraced politician became one of the worst people alive, cheating on his cancer-stricken wife, knocking up his mistress, paying an aide to take responsibility for the child. That sort of thing.

Now, in her first comments since her father’s secret life became exposed, Cate is siding – strongly – with her mother, Elizabeth. She told People:

“There are the things she taught without words, [such as] how to continue to live your life on your own terms when it somehow becomes savaged by people you never invited into it.”

John Edwards, Daughter

Elizabeth Edwards also speaks on in next week’s issue of the magazine, saying she’s hard at work on a paperback edition of her memoir, Resilience.

It will include a new chapter reflecting on the most damaging aspects of the fallout from her husband’s infidelity. Says Mrs. Edwards: “It’s my story and I’m writing it from here on out – nobody else.”

Ridiculous Rumor of the Day: Justin Bieber’s Mom Offered 50K to Pose in Playboy


On more than one occasion, Justin Bieber has been declared dead by the Internet.

For whatever reason, this adorable young singer is often the topic of online hoaxes and cruel jokes. It’s something that apparently runs in the family. What do we mean?

Gossip blogger Zack Taylor reports that Bieber’s mother – yes, his mother! – has been offered $50,000 to pose topless in Playboy. There are no sources cited and nothing else to the article… but, hey, we’re The Hollywood Gossip, not The Hollywood Fact.

Tiger and Elin Woods’ Divorce: Almost Official


Tiger Woods has another reason to celebrate.

A day after published DNA test results proved he did not knock up Devon James, it looks like his divorce is about to become official, according to reports.

His legal separation from Elin Woods is imminent, as “They’ve agreed on all the major points,” one source reported. “It’s all been worked out privately.”

“When they first started negotiating the divorce, it was acrimonious. Things are now very civil, at least in terms of getting the divorce taken care of.”

While the terms of the settlement are unclear, “Both Tiger and Elin are very close to finishing the negotiations and filing and signing the paperwork.”

KISS OFF: The terms of his divorce from the ol’ ball and chain nearly finalized, Tiger Woods is almost free to live the dream – play golf and holla at some hoes!

According to Radar Online, Elin Woods switched attorneys a little while ago and that took much of the aggression and anger out of the negotiations.

The couple is no longer (or barely) on speaking terms after attempts at reconciliation fizzled earlier this year around the time Tiger returned to golf.

Things got ugly fast as Elin talked about moving to Sweden with their children, but later backed off. Both Tiger and Elin met with lawyers this week.

The divorce terms are being worked out privately and when everything is done it will be filed in court, and “that day is almost here,” a source says.
