Modern Family star makes an embarrassment of himself!

Though he plays a seasoned dad of three on his award-winning sitcom, Ty
Burrell is still getting the hang of fatherhood off-screen. The Modern
Family actor and his wife Holly adopted 4-month-old daughter Francis in
March and Ty has his alter-ego to thank for parenting lessons. “Phil taught
me that if he can be parent, anyone can be a parent. He’s a great dad, but
he’s clueless, which I love,” Ty tells In Touch about doofus Phil Dunphy.
Like his character, Ty is a self-proclaimed “dork,” and admits he will
probably turn his little girl’s face red as Phil often does with his
children. “I hope to intentionally embarrass my daughter as well. My dad was
really good at embarrassing me, and he loved it. We had this old rusted
Oldsmobile, and if he was in a mischievous mood, my dad would pick me up
from football games in this car wearing nothing but his bathrobe and cowboy
boots!” Ty laughs. The “very happy” doting dad seemed to be well on his way
toward public humiliation as he drove around New York in an Oscar Mayer
“wiener mobile” on June 3. However, it was all for a good cause — the
big-hearted star teamed up with the famous hot dog and lunch meat company to
raise funds for the “Good Mood Mission” by Feeding America. “They can
absolutely use all the food they can get,” he says. Find out how you can
