Kate Gosselin may not be the best mom in Hollywood, but she really loves her kids. She has a special birthday present for them today: Time with Jon Gosselin.

Kind of a crappy birthday gift if you ask us, but you know how it is with kids. Sometimes you gotta do whatever makes them happy.

Six of the seven humans who actually like seeing Jon will do so today.

THG NOTE: The seventh would be Ellen Ross, his new girlfriend. His older two daughters, Mady and Cara, probably realize what a douchebag he is by now.

A source close to Kate confirms she has offered to let the kids see Jon this afternoon, even though it isn’t even technically his day in the pair’s custody deal.

Kate plans to cook the kids a special birthday breakfast, ship ‘em off to school, and then Jon could have the kids in the afternoon … should he so choose.

No word yet on if Jon accepted the offer, but we suspect he will, because last week, Jon indicated the following when tracked down by Radar Online:

“I really want to see them on their birthday, but I don’t know. I don’t have custody so I’m hoping that Kate let’s me see them on their birthday.”

Nice, yes. But this being Jon, a douchebag move is never far off.

Before that comment, Kate and Jon had already discussed the situation over the phone and Kate told Jon he could see the kids on their birthday.

Yet Jon still went out and made it seem like Kate might not let him. Says a source: “Nobody knows why Jon does this, unless it’s for attention.”

Pretty much sums it up right there. If he really wants to seek a truce with Kate and bury the hatchet once for good, he may want to cut the crap.

When it comes to their devastated hometown, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are taking action.

The country music standouts have organized “Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert For Flood Recovery,” which aims to help those affected by last month’s record-breaking storms. It will take place on June 22, six days after Ke$ha’s charity event.

“The damage that we’ve seen to people’s homes and the effect that the flooding has had on their lives is unimaginable. But we’ve seen the spirit of our community firsthand, as volunteers, church groups and our local business leaders rally to help,” McGraw and Hill said in a statement.

“We all need to continue to support those in need in any way that we can, and for that reason we could not be more appreciative to all of the artists, the companies and the people behind the scenes who collectively will make June 22 a truly special night.”

For more information on the concert, which will be held at Bridgestone Arena, visit NashvilleRising.org.

The lineup so far includes the hosts, along with Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift (who has personally donated $500,000 to the cause), Miley Cyrus, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and LeAnn Rimes.

Severe storms and extensive flooding from two weeks ago have left almost two dozen people dead in Tennessee, while numerous Nashville homes and landmarks have been destroyed.

All these artists, and more, will help raise money for the Nashville Community Foundation on June 22.

Dr. Conrad Murray is seeking to delay his preliminary hearing next month, during which a judge will determine if he will stand trial for involuntary manslaughter.

His legal team claims it may not be ready for the hearing, as they still have not received the full criminal file from the prosecution in the Michael Jackson case.

Miranda Sevcik, spokesperson for Murray’s lawyer, Ed Chernoff, says they have only received 3,500 pages of material. That’s out of “hundreds of thousands.”

A D.A. spokesperson counters that the “hundreds of thousands” of pages quote was their error on their part … and in fact there are only “thousands of pages.”

Of which the Conrad Murray team has received “the bulk of it.”

Dr. Conrad Murray’s legal saga could drag on a long, long time.

Sevcik’s response: “It’s odd. It seems like an awfully big miscalculation.”

As a result, Conrad Murray may ask to delay the June 14 hearing soon.

When and if a trial occurs, part of his defense is believed to be the assertion that Michael Jackson killed himself with Propofol while Murray was out of the room.

Murray claims that Jackson was an addictive personality who always pushed the limit of what his body could take, and his death was essentially his own fault.

He might have a case. But if he wins, we suggest he and Jason Pfeiffer enter into a witness protection program ASAP, because MJ fans will hunt them down.

Now, the tween world can truly scream out in delight: these franchise stars are engaged!

A source close to Bower told Great Britain’s The Daily Mail: “He says they are completely in love. It all seems very whirlwind, but they both say it’s the real deal… He is chuffed to bits and neither of them seem to have any doubts that they are rushing in too soon. We have asked them if it is for real and they have said yes.”

Hey, who are we to argue with a couple that is chuffed to bits with one another?

Wright stars in the Harry Potter series as Ron’s sister, Ginny. Spoiler alert: a marriage involving the character plays a vital role in the conclusion of this beloved franchise.

Bower, meanwhile, portrays Caius in The Twilight Saga. He met Wright on the Harry Potter set, where the actor takes on the role of Gellert Grindelwald.

Michael Lohan is a tool.

Seriously. He may very well want his daughter Lindsay to get help. His intentions there may be genuine. But he remains a Grade A fame-obsessed loser.

When he’s not emailing THG, he can’t refrain from trashing Lindsay Lohan to any media outlet that will listen, regarding any topic that comes to mind. 

After hearing that Lindsay’s new acting role – as Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace in an upcoming biopic of the porn star – Mike couldn’t hide his disgust.

“Oh, I don’t even want to go there!” he said Friday – but then he went there.

“Come on! Seriously – why? She did Parent Trap, Confessions [of a Teenage Drama Queen], Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Just My Luck and Herbie. And you know what? Georgia Rule was a fantastic movie. People don’t give her credit for it.”

You know these two pictures are really old because 1. Lindsay Lohan and Michael Lohan are both in them, together, and 2. She looks really happy and alert!

“Magazines have told me in the past, ‘We don’t want you on the cover. You’re not pretty enough,’” Grammy-winning singer Pink tells the June issue of Cosmopolitan.

Does it make her sad? No. “That’s okay. I’m unique and I dig it,” she adds.

In the interview, Pink also opens up about fixing her marriage to motocross racer Carey Hart, whom she married back in 2006 and briefly separated from in 2008.

“I’m so dramatic, and in the past, I’ve been really mean,” Pink admits.

“Carey sat me down one day when we were fighting and said, ‘Baby, when you call me names, it hurts my feelings. Please try to stop.” And I was like ‘Wow, thank you for telling me how you feel. Now I fight fair.”

If he really did nail Michelle McGee, though, that warrants name-calling.

Pink is the most badass chick Cosmopolitan has ever interviewed.

They are not planning for kids – yet – but just give it time. “At this point, we’re still trying not to, but I absolutely can’t wait to not try not to,” the singer says.

While the prospect of a baby Pink may seem somewhat frightening, you gotta love her honest, straightforward nature. Way better than some generic phony.
