Kim Kardashian in Mom Jeans: Hot or Not?

When Jessica Simpson rocked a pair of mama jeans last year, she made headlines for weeks.

Granted, the attention was negative – but Simpson turned criticism of her weight into sympathy and even a reality show, True Beauty.

Now, Kim Kardashian is hoping for the same result. She made this same fashion statement earlier in the week and responded to critics before they even had a chance to get vocal.

“For some reason, high-waisted jeans are always branded with this negative term and I think it’s kind of ridiculous,” she blogged. “Any woman who is proud of her curves should be able to flaunt them in high-waisted jeans!!! I’m proud to rock the mom jeans.”

Sex Kitten Cyrus: The “Can’t Be Tamed” Album Cover


In case you haven’t heard, Miley Cyrus can’t be tamed.

Seriously. She’s like some sort of sex-crazed peacock that people want to cage, but who wants to be part of something she doesn’t know – and if you try to hold her down, she might explode.

At least that’s what Miley sings in her latest single, “Can’t Be Tamed.” The lyrics are explicit and self-serving, while the video has stirred up controversy because it’s clear Cyrus has left her Hannah Montana persona behind. Way, way behind.

Comparatively, the album cover for this June 22 release is actually quite tame, and laughable. Miley looks like she’s trying WAY too hard to appear seductive, doesn’t she?

Compare this cover to Miley’s 2008 CD, “Breakout” and it’s clear the singer has come a long way. That’s fine, but will her teenage fans follow her into adulthood? That remains to be seen…

It’s a Girl for Bethenny Frankel!


Bethenny Frankel went into early labor last night, weeks ahead of her June due date.

But we’re happy to report that new mother and daughter are happy and healthy today. Said the reality star’s rep

“Bethenny and Jason are proud to welcome their new baby girl, Bryn Hoppy, born at 8 a.m… in New York City. He is a 4 lb. 12 oz., healthy baby. Bryn, mom, dad and [their dog] Cookie are all very happy.”

It’s a Boy for Bethenny Frankel!


Bethenny Frankel went into early labor last night, weeks ahead of her June due date.

But we’re happy to report that new mother and son are happy and healthy today. Few details are known about the birth, except for this Facebook post from Frankel’s Real Housewives of New York castmate, Jill Zarin:

“Heard Bethenny had a baby boy…so happy for her and Jason. So happy for them.”

Really, Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen are Over, Done, Caput


Every new report about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson says the same thing: these two are totally dating.

Conversely, each update about Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen states the opposite: their marriage has less of a chance to survive than Sawyer on Lost.

Here’s the latest: Brooke Mueller has moved out. She’s settled into a home in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, as a family sources confirms she and Sheen are “done.”

That’s what happens when one half of a couple takes a knife the other half’s throat and then cheats on her with a lingerie model.

The house in which Mueller and her sons now reside is owned by her, her mother and a business partner. Mueller lived there before making the biggest mistake of her life marrying Sheen.

Of course, Booke’s lawyer, Yale Galanter, still insists “there is no divorce that is planned for by either party.”

But expect the papers to be drawn up and signed as soon as Sheen reaches a plea bargain in his Colorado assault case. Let’s hope it includes jail time.

Michelle McGee May Have Done Tiger Woods


Michelle “Bombshell” McGee said earlier this week that she has lots of colored friends. Might she have had an affair with a certain “Cablinasian” fella as well?

You know what they say. Why stop at one celebrity home-wrecking sex scandal? Bombshell McGee is now hinting that she may have slept with Tiger Woods.

Bombshell went on “The Soscia Network” radio show on Philadelphia’s 106.1 FM this week, and was asked if she would send Jesse James a thank-you card.

He bolstered her “career,” after all, and she’s had no shortage of publicity.

After she said she’s no longer in contact with Jesse James, the topic turned to Tiger Woods and how he must be so happy that James took the heat off him.

MICHELLE MCGEE: So wrong on every conceivable level.

Jokingly asked if she would go there, she replied, “How do you know I haven’t?” Asked to elaborate, Michelle Bombshell said, “I’m not confirming or denying.”

“But I’m surprised no one’s picked up on that yet.”

Uhh … while it wouldn’t be the biggest stretch of all time to think that McGee was among the many Tiger Woods affairs, we just don’t see it. Call us crazy.

Blonde, petite, moderately attractive cocktail waitresses? Done, done and done. Chicks whose bodies look like a seventh grader’s binder from metal shop?

Not really Tiger’s type. Plus the whole Nazi thing.

Happy Birthday, Hilton Hater!


One of The Hollywood Gossip’s driving forces turns another year wiser today. He also got married earlier this spring. Happy birthday and wedding, Hilton Hater!

We’re not going to say how old he is, but let’s just say it’s too old to be running a celebrity gossip site (never mind that this blogger is months older … details).

Fortunately, he’s devoted much of his existence to THG since founding us in 2006. Our entire staff has him to thank for our success – and entertainment!

When he’s not reporting all the latest Twilight, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber gossip, Hilton Hater enjoys watching Glee and rocking out to Adam Lambert.

For more brilliance from HH on a daily basis, he is also the co-founder and expert critic-in-chief of TV Fanatic. The man watches a lot of TV. We benefit.

It is not without irony that our long track record as a leader in celebrity news, rumors and gossip has rendered our fearless leader’s name a bit anachronistic.

Paris Hilton isn’t even in the news that much anymore, and when she is, it’s rarely worthy of hating. The ho-tel heiress has actually mellowed out quite a bit.

THG Week in Review: May 1-7, 2010


Welcome to The Hollywood Gossip’s Week in Review, where we take a look back on the last seven days in entertainment news, celebrity gossip, news and rumors.

Some of the highlights from May 1-7 include …

  • NFL great Lawrence Taylor was arrested for rape. The accuser, who is only 16, allegedly told him she was 19, and was assaulted by her pimp (also arrested).
  • It looks like is a Kendra Wilkinson sex tape out there. It may or may not be one of many, but it will definitely be exploited as fodder on her reality TV show.
  • Jason Pfeiffer, a gay man of intermediate age, said he was dating Michael Jackson up until the singer died. His former boss, Dr. Arnold Klein, backs him up.
  • David Boreanaz admitted cheating on his wife with a woman he says is trying to extort him. This is not Rachel Uchitel, who he also cheated with last year.
  • A cheating scandal involving Barack Obama and Vera Baker was alleged. She denies this and nothing came of it, but after Rielle Hunter, you never know.

Chely Wright’s coming out as a lesbian surprised many.

  • American Idol bid farewell to Aaron Kelly, leaving just four finalists in the competition. Lady Gaga performed on the show but was pissed by Fox’s editing.
  • Speaking of Gaga: “Telephone” may have been recorded by Britney first; X-tina may be ganking her style (or vice versa); She does not have an amputated leg.
  • Pamela Anderson was voted off Dancing with the Stars. A minor controversy erupted when Elisabeth Hasselbeck suggested Erin Andrews tone it down.
  • Elin Woods was spotted jogging in Sweden without her wedding ring, sparking more divorce rumors. Meanwhile, new reports say Tiger had 121 mistresses.

  • Couple news: Jessica Simpson and Jeremy Renner may be dating; Joanna Krupa is engaged to Romain Zago; Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are done.
  • Baby news: Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan had a son; Morty Coyle knocked up Jodie Sweetin; Eric Dane’s cute daughter made her debut.
