Are Jessica Simpson and Jeremy Renner an item?

Appearing at Operation Smile’s annual gala Thursday at Cipriani Wall Street, rumors of an alleged hookup with Renner were not addressed by Simpson.

That doesn’t mean peeps didn’t attempt to pry.

Us Weekly reports that the two were spotted entering Washington D.C.’s St. Regis Hotel at 2:45 a.m. 30 seconds apart. So they’re practically married.

The publication claims she and The Hurt Locker star, an Oscar nominee, have been seeing each other the sly for months, but neither has confirmed it.

Would these two make a cute couple?

When asked about Renner, the singer remained tight-lipped as a publicist quickly led her away. Before that, Jessica Simpson was reflective on her life thus far.

“I know that I’m pushing 30 and it’s happening,” she told Us. “It’s happening, and I feel it. I think that 30 is going to be a good year for me. I think that I experienced a lot in my 20s – a lot more than a lot of people in their 20s would experience.”

“I feel old in a lot of ways, and I feel naïve in ways that I can’t wait to see what happens next.”‘ As for love in her 30s? “Oh, I can find love anywhere!”

“I’m just a normal girl. I’m just like everyone else. I have a heart. I have feelings. I have emotions. I’m just like everybody else. I might happen to take pictures or walk a red carpet, but that doesn’t mean that I’m no different than you.”

The fact that Bret Michaels will likely make a full recovery and possibly even return to his tour this summer is amazing.

But here’s something even more astounding: the promiscuous rocker has a girlfriend!

Clearly the most patient, understanding woman in the world, Kristi Gibson hasn’t stopped caring for Bret despite his televised macking of reality show contestants on VH1. She traveled to the hospital with him on April 21, as Michaels suffered a brain hemorrhage.

“I’m used to being calm, because of the times when his blood sugar has gone low, and if I freak out, he freaks out,” Gibson told People.

The mother of Bret’s two kids, Kristi detailed the scene in the ambulance that night: “I held his hand and told him, ‘It’s going to be okay.’ Just from his eyes, you could tell how much pain he was in. I wanted to take away that pain so bad.”

Michaels has referred to his 16-year, off-and-on relationshop with Gibson as a “positive work on progress.” If that’s the case, it took a huge leap forward with this incident and her reaction to it.

“In most of our world, Bret’s the hero, but in this situation, Kristi was the hero – she saved his life,” says Michaels’ guitarist and close pal, Pete Evick.

The 16-year-old girl who allegedly had sex with Lawrence Taylor for $300 told the NFL great she was 19, as per her pimp’s instructions, according to reports.

Taylor was arrested for rape yesterday. The FBI is now investigating her alleged pimp Rasheed Davis on suspicion of human sex trafficking, a federal violation.

An FBI agent assigned to the case claims Davis “caused” the 16-year-old to “engage in commercial sex acts with various individuals” … and even “set prices.”

The FBI agent also claims that Rasheed Davis had taken several “almost nude” photographs of the girl on his cell phone in order to get customers. Sick.

In federal documents, the FBI claims Davis had sent the girl text messages instructing her to have sex with a client (Lawrence Taylor) May 5, but she refused.

As a result, Davis, not Taylor, physically assaulted her – explaining how LT’s accuser was attacked – “in an effort to coerce [the victim] into participating.”

Lawrence Taylor faces a statutory rape charge.

Davis then instructed her to tell Taylor that she was 19 and charge $300.

After the alleged encounter, the agent says the victim contacted a relative via text message to ask for help. Police found Davis and he had $300 in his car.

According to the docs, Davis admitted to police that he had received money from pimping out the alleged victim to Lawrence Taylor … among other guys.

LT has denied, via his attorney, any wrongdoing in the case. He’s been charged with statutory rape and patronizing a prostitute. Lawrence is free on bail.

That innocent-until-proven-guilty business doesn’t count when it comes to attracting customers, though. He was dumped by endorser Nutrisystem today.

“We are shocked and saddened by these very serious allegations against Lawrence Taylor,” the company says in a statement. “Nutrisystem has made the decision to terminate our relationship with Mr. Taylor effective immediately.”

His wife, Lynette, had been scheduled to appear last night on Larry King Live but bailed at the last minute, presumably thanks to advice of LT’s lawyers.

Two Jesse James mistresses in a boxing ring? We’d pay to see that!

Actually, no way would be pay money to see that. But we’d totally write about it the morning after and ridicule both of the trashy, hopefully bloodied individuals.

As you may know, Michelle “Bombshell” McGee is set to fight adult film star Gina Lynn in a Celebrity Boxing bout (Hailey Glassman will reportedly be refereeing).

But what Bombshell really wants is to take on a personal rival.

“I want to fight Melissa Smith,” McGee said Thursday. “I’m going to call her out next. After I whoop Gina Lynn’s a**, I’m going to set my sights out for Melissa.”

Can we root for a double knockout?

Melissa Smith also slept with Jesse James while he was married to Sandra Bullock. No word if Bombshell will move on to Merliee Gerth when she’s done there, or if all her colored friends will come to support her in the Philly rumble.

“I’m feeling great. I’ve been training, boxing a little bit. I think it’ll be fun to beat Gina Lynn’s a**. We had a press conference and she showed up with an anti-West Coast Choppers T-shirt. So she’s obviously got some fuel burning under her.”

Better than Jesse James being under her, we suppose.

An anonymous source has confirmed the existence of a Kendra Wilkinson sex tape.

Speaking to OK! Weekly, this insider – who is somehow unaware that Kendra is known solely for getting naked and promoting her personal life – says he was “shocked” to watch the video because it’s so “obvious” that Kendra stars in it.

As for what goes down on it (aside from Kendra!), he said: “The tape is an amazing striptease from her, and then at the end of the tape she blows a kiss to the camera.”

[Resisting urge to make a joke about what else she blows...]

Because the tape, which Vivid Entertainment plans to dub Kendra Exposed, is “very, very sexual” and “definitely hot,” the source concludes: “It’s going to be a massive seller.”

Meanwhile, more and more evidence points to the fact that Kendra HERSELF made efforts to peddle the tape within the last two years.

RadarOnline.com cites documents that confirm Wilkinson set up a company called Home Run Productions LLC. Its business model was “to acquire and license video rights to material featuring Kendra in intimate situations.”

This took place in November 2008, well into her relationship with Hank Baskett and even after the couple’s engagement was revealed. Moreover, these papers imply that Kendra has made more than one tape.

Honestly, we don’t even blame Kendra for wanting to profit off her own sexual exploits. That’s the age in which we live. If she can make serious bank, and use it to support her child, from selling her own video, more power to her. Just don’t lie about it.

Don’t play the victim card. Play the “I have huge breasts and horny men will pay a lot of money to see me naked, so why not take advantage of their loneliness?” card instead. We’d respect her a lot more if she did.

Having been away from the business for years, raising her son, Christina Aguilera came back in a major way last week.

She released the video for “Not Myself Tonight,” which stirred up controversy over whether it was too sexy and provocative. In other words: it accomplished the exact goal Aguilera had in mind and put her right back on the musical map.

But another controversy has broken out about the single: is it a copycat? Critics allege that Christina has simply stolen her new style and edginess from Lady Gaga in a clear attempt to piggyback off that eccentric singer’s success.

To that charge, one Christina fan in particular has a Clueless-like response: AS IF!

Rachel Uchitel is speaking out and denying rumors that she’s the “other woman” who had an affair with and is trying to extort money from David Boreanaz.

The former NYC club hostess, who went on to be romantically linked to Tiger Woods and got an eight-figure settlement to shut up about it, said Thursday:

“David Boreanaz is not part of my life, nor will he be.”

“I am not in contact with him and do not wish to be. I have made no claims against him and do not plan to assert any. Any statements to the contrary are false and I hope that this statement will finally end any speculation about this issue.”

Rachel Uchitel is quick to get her name back in the news deny rumors.

“I am looking forward to a life not filled with scandal, rumor, innuendo or false statements. I will not have any further comment regarding David Boreanaz.”

Thank goodness. With this rumor finally put to rest, you may now exhale and return to your lives. The above Rachel Uchitel statement is great because:

• For someone who wants a life not filled with scandal, she sure likes to put out for rich, married celebrities … you’re kinda asking for this, Rache.
• She did have an affair with David Boreanaz, while his wife Jaime Bergman was pregnant in fact – it’s just not the affair in question this second.
• She doesn’t deny an affair with him, because it happened.
• No one ever said she was the woman extorting Boreanaz.

But thanks for weighing in, Rache!

Finally, Ke$ha will put the dollar sign in her name to good use.

The singer has announced a benefit concert on June 16 in Nashville. All proceeds from the event will go toward rebuilding her hometown, which has seen 21 deaths over the last couple weeks due to extreme flooding and whose flood damages may exceed $1 billion.

“I’m thrilled to announce that I will be playing a show to help benefit Nashville, my hometown,” Ke$ha said. “One hundred percent of the profits from ticket sales will go to help the victims of these devastating floods. Nashville helped shape me as an artist and as a person and my love for this city is beyond words.

“I will continue to do anything I can to help rebuild this city and support the families and animals who have been affected by this tragedy.”

Sounds like Ke$ha is more than an unusual dresser and great kisser. She has it in her to be a solid humanitarian, as well.

Meanwhile, the Country Music Association announced yesterday that half the proceeds from the 2010 CMA Music Festival will go to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee for flood relief.

If this is true, it’s hilarious and sad at the same time.

The National Enquirer (we know, we know) says Britney Spears is fed up her father Jamie’s control over her – and we’re not talking about his mandatory bra policy.

Tension is rising because under the terms of the singer’s conservatorship, she’s not allowed to be alone with her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, ever!

“Britney is furious that she isn’t trusted to care for her own kids without supervision,” says a source. “She is getting into screaming matches with her father Jamie.”

“She can never have quiet time with the boys without bodyguards, nannies or family members. She’s afraid her sons won’t feel bonded to her as they get older.”

“Little things set her off – like being told what they should eat. When her parents or a nanny suggest the boys shouldn’t eat so much fast food, Britney resents it.”

Britney and Sean Preston seldom get a moment alone …

“She feels there’s nothing normal about being watched all the time. When it comes to making decisions about the boys, she’s being overruled by her father, Kevin, even the hired help – and Britney blames it all on her dad.”
