Less than two weeks after suffering a brain hemorrhage, a “very lucky” Bret Michaels has been discharged from a Phoenix hospital. According to Dr. Joseph Zabramski of the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the tough-as-nails rocker is still sick, but expected to return to full health. “He’s improving. I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100 percent recovery. Mr. Michaels was indeed a lucky person, a very lucky person,” the doctor said at a press conference at the Arizona hospital on May 4.

Bret Michaels Deemed “Lucky,” Released from Hospital


On the VH1 reality show Rock of Love, Bret Michaels got lucky many times, often in the back of his tour bus.

Similarly, the singer’s surgeon described him as “lucky” today at a press conference, where Dr. Joseph Zabramski updated fans on the progress of Michaels, fewer than two weeks after he suffered a brain hemorrhage.

“Mr. Michaels was indeed a very lucky person,” Zabramski, speaking to the press at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, said. “He’s improving and I expect him to continue to improve. I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100 percent recovery.”

Bret has been discharged and reps say he may even perform on stage again before the month is over.

Hurry up and get better, Bret Michaels: there are countless VH1 reality stars you have not yet boned!

Zabramski does caution that Michaels is “very sick right now.” He’s been moved to an undisclosed location and will continue treatment there.

But the rocker’s “sheer will to live,” along with well wishes from his fans, can only help him on his path to full recovery. We’re thinking of you, Bret!

New Book Details Tiger Woods Affairs, Shadiness


Breaking news: Tiger Woods had affairs! He cheated!

It’s hard to imagine what we don’t know about the world’s top golfer 121 mistresses later, but People magazine reporter Steve Helling is ready to tell all.

Interestingly, he said he could have blown the whistle long ago, but declined to out Tiger’s shady dalliances for fear of having access to Woods revoked.

“Over the years, I had heard rumors of Tiger’s partying – drunken nights at the clubs, dirty dancing with other women, phone numbers slipped to pretty blondes,” he writes in his new book Tiger, “But I didn’t follow up.”

The reason? Helling didn’t want to be cut off from the golden golfer. That’s what makes People different from the stop-at-nothing National Enquirer.

Not The Master

Everyone just looked the other way with Tiger’s dealings.

“Negative coverage of Tiger – even positive coverage that wasn’t micromanaged – would often result in excommunication from Tiger Woods’ camp,” he writes. “It was in everyone’s best interest to sweep rumors under the rug.”

But now the cat is out of the bag – a huge thank you to Rachel Uchitel, Jaimee Grubbs et al. – and he’s ready to tell ALL. Hey, better late than never, man.

“Marriage hadn’t changed Tiger’s appetite for sex, and he was always on the prowl for women,” he writes of Woods, who was apparently looking around as soon as he and beautiful Swede Elin Nordegren said “I do” back in 2004.

“[Tiger] dated a lot of girls even after he was married to Elin. When he was filming some commercials at Universal Studios, he asked out a few girls, and this was after he was married. If they said no, he’d move on.’”

Helling insists that he wasn’t the only one who ignored Tiger’s infidelities. He claims a club owner in Florida saw Tiger “drinking and dancing with a woman who wasn’t his wife” in 2006 and called celebrity gossip weeklies.

One Swedish model wife is never enough.

No one called back. That’s precisely why Tiger stayed in bed with mistresses – and out of the news – throughout a supposedly squeaky-clean career.

Amid reports that Tiger met with a divorce lawyer, Helling says: “It took 13 calculated years to shape his image, and just two weeks to destroy it.”

Or one nine-iron to the face.

Rachel Uchitel Denies David Boreanaz Extortion


The incomparable Rachel Uchitel is speaking out, denying any role in the newly revealed David Boreanaz extortion plot of which the Bones star speaks.

Rache is totally pissed off at reports that she tried to extort Boreanaz and she’s going to do something about it – hold a live press conference, naturally.

In fact, the O.G. Tiger Woods mistress is flying back from Mexico tomorrow or Thursday to emphasize she has “never extorted anyone” out of money.

Which we already knew, but hey, why miss any conceivable opportunity to get your home-wrecking, fame-seeking face in front of the camera, right?

Rachel Uchitel: So sweet. So pretty. So morally bankrupt.

Rachel Uchitel did bone Boreanaz while his wife was pregnant, and before the Tiger Woods scandal exploded. But she is not the mistress who demanded a six-figure settlement from him, she maintains (and no one insinuated). 

In fact, reports say David told his wife, Jaime Bergman, about the affair before Star magazine broke the story last fall, and she was incredibly upset.

You can see why, since he was texting Rachel while Jaime was in labor.

Much more so than she is this time. It was Bergman who encouraged Boreanaz to come forward about the new, unnamed mistress’ alleged extortion.

Both David Boreanaz mistresses are represented by Gloria Allred, who plans to argue that the Bones star deceived #2 by saying she was the only one.

Even while #1 is also her client. Oh, the irony … and conflicts of interest.

Despite two huge scandals, all indications suggest that David Boreanaz and Jaime Bergman are working through things and remain committed to their marriage.

Boreanaz’ lawyer, Marty Singer, calls the demand for money extortion. Rachel Uchitel reportedly got $10 million from Tiger Woods to shut her yap in the wake of that scandal, but that’s not extortion – he coughed it up by choice.

No offense to David Boreanaz, but no way he’s got $10 million just sitting around in his Bank of America checking account like Tiger freaking Woods.

Dude had to call her out. Your move, money-grubbing mistress. Your move.

Robert “Joe” Halderman Headed to Prison For David Letterman Extortion


David Letterman’s extortionist did the crime, now he’ll do the time.

Robert “Joe” Halderman, the former CBS News producer who copped to one count of attempted first-degree larceny, was sentenced today to six months in jail.

Money-grubbing mistress of David Boreanaz, take note.

Robert Halderman could’ve faced up to 15 years in lockup had the case gone to trial. Instead, his plea deal ensures he’ll serve no more than the half-year term.

Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Charles Solomon also gave him four and a half years’ probation and ordered him to perform 1,000 hours of community service.

Letterman blackmailer Halderman was snared in a sting operation.

The 48 Hours Mystery producer was busted in October for trying to shake down David Letterman for $2 million in return for keeping quiet about the comic’s affair with his former intern and Halderman’s then-live-in lover, Stephanie Birkitt.

Owing thousands of dollars in child and spousal support to his ex-wife, Halderman approached him under the guise of selling a screenplay … to Dave’s own life.

Rather than buying it to keep his liaisons a secret, Letterman blew the whistle, bluntly admitted on the air that he cheated on wife Regina Lasko, and moved on.

Halderman’s moving on too … to the big house. Nice work, man!

David Boreanaz’s cheating confession: Was it blackmail?

If it seemed odd that David Boreanaz recently made a public confession to cheating on his wife, Jaime Bergman, it may be because he was trying to beat Gloria Allred, the lawyer who is representing his alleged mistress, to the punch. “On April 23, the woman left a very threatening message that she was going to the media, that my client had not given her enough money,” Boreanaz’s lawyer, Marty Singer said, adding that when he later spoke to Allred, he learned that the woman wanted a six figure sum to keep quiet. But Allred, who represented Tiger Woods‘ mistress Rachel Uchitel and an unnamed woman who claimed to have had an affair with Jesse James, insists that her client was contacted by the Bones star’s team first. “We discussed the possible resolution of my client’s legal claims against Mr. Boreanaz by mediation,” said Allred in a statement. “My client has not told her story to the press, but now that Mr. Boreanaz is attacking her, she has decided to tell the story of their relationship so that the truth will come out.”

David, 40, has been married to Jaime, 34, since 2001. They have two kids: Jaden, 8, and Bardot, 8 months.

Justin Bieber Is Not Smart


Perhaps Justin Bieber should spend more time studying the meaning of words and less time looking adorable.

The teen icon appeared on a New Zealand television show this week and was asked if his last name meant “basketball” in German. In what, Justin asked?!?

In German, the host insisted, even showing Bieber the question so he could see it written out. Justin’s response? Uhhh, I don’t know what that means. We don’t say that in America.

Just something to think about, ladies, the next time you cause a riot just because Bieber is in the vicinity…
