He hasn’t given an interview or done much press in awhile, but Robert Pattinson is at the center of two new rumors.

The first is clearly ridiculous: sorry, Gossip Girl fans, but the Twilight Saga star did NOT hook up with Leighton Meester.

As for talk that Pattinson was Courtney Love’s first choice to play Kurt Cobain in a movie about the late rocker, the former Hole singer has halted this casting possibility in its track.

“Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him? That’s just wrong, no offense [to Pattinson],” Love told The Canadian Press. “I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenage girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn’t that silly?”

Love added that she’ll never watch any biopic about Cobain because it would be too painful, but she did list a couple actors she could see in the role: James McAvoy and  Ryan Gosling.

It’s almost cool to be a high school singer now, especially when you can look to this Vogue cover for inspiration.

Shawn Southwick alleges Larry King cheated on her with her sister.

That would make the CNN fossil a dirty, dirty individual if so. Their marriage imploded yesterday, with both filing for divorce … but is there more to it?

Just a few months ago, it was Shawn Southwick facing such allegations with a little league coach and D-list actor who admits “mistakes” were made.”

Hector Penate, who coached the Kings’ two sons when he wasn’t trying to make it as an actor, cryptically said “one thing led to another” with Shawn.

Southwick denies anything went down, but the above quotes are Hector Penate’s own, and The National Enquirer says King caught her red-handed.

According to the celebrity gossip tabloid, Shawn King had been carrying on a steamy, year-long extramarital affair right under Larry’s nose with Hector.

King supposedly carried on an affair for five years with her sister Shannon Engemann, but she was returning the favor and then some … on his desk!

Shawn and Hector were so brazen in their adulterous tryst, they did the nasty where King works. We can’t decide if that’s hot, hilarious or nauseating.

Sources say the illicit affair unraveled when Shawn’ dependence on the painkiller Vicodin deepened, but didn’t end until livid Larry confronted Hector.

No clue how those things are related at all, but this is getting nastier by the minute. A King source insists, “Larry is no doubt the victim in all of this.”

We’ll see how the courts – and public – rule on that.

While filming the second season of Jersey Shore, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has not only fallen in love with the show’s Miami location, but she’s hooked on room service as well! “Snooki wanted to lose some weight before the second season started filming, but she wasn’t very successful,” the insider says. “Now that she’s staying in a hotel with food at the touch of a button, it has become an even bigger challenge.” Snooki has struggled with her figure in the past. “When I see all these celebrities and they don’t eat and they look thin, I know what they’re going through,” she told In Touch last year.

Enough is enough. Stars from around the celebrity landscape joined forces to file a class action suit against South Park. On the 200th episode of South Park.

Tiger Woods, Tom Cruise, Oprah Winfrey, Charlie Sheen, Paris Hilton and others sought revenge for myriad indignities inflicted by the series over the years.

On the night of Ugly Betty‘s finale, the ABC series’ star Vanessa Williams was all smiles at the grand opening cocktail party for Otarian restaurant — but she admitted the sudden cancellation of the comedy was a
painful experience. “Our cast was one of those rare opportunities where we love each other. It was a real shocker, and really devastating when it all ended,” she told In Touch at the launch of the vegetarian hotspot in New York on April 14. Though Vanessa and co-stars including America Ferrera, Ana Ortiz, Mark Indelicato, and Eric Mabius are no longer working together daily, the friends are still in constant contact. “I just got a text from Eric saying ‘I love you.’ We’re supportive of each other, and we’ll definitely keep in touch for a long time,” she added. Despite her sadness, the talented beauty has moved on from the small screen to the stage. Vanessa is currently performing on Broadway in Sondheim on Sondheim. “It’s been fantastic! I have fun every night,” she said of her latest project.

Many of the hottest stars loathe the paparazzi — but not Adrian Grenier. The Entourage actor first met Austin Visschedyk when the young celebrity photographer was chasing him down the streets of Hollywood at just 13 years old, and the two struck up an instant friendship. “At first he was just a curiosity, and then, low and behold, he became a complete education for me,” Adrian told In Touch at the Gen Art Film Festival Presented by Acura premiere of his documentary about Austin, Teenage Paparazzo, in New York. During a two-and-a-half-year span, Adrian and his camera captured Austin’s daily life on the paparazzi scene, even hunting down celebs himself at some points. “I think as with anything you initially judge, there’s a whole side to it that you might not know. I think part of this movie is about bridging the gap of ignorance as a way to gain more empathy and understanding and appreciation. I discovered that I can appreciate some of these guys,” Adrian added of his new friendships with the photographers who follow him and other stars every day. When suggested that he may have been a mentor to Austin,
Adrian wasn’t so sure. “I hope Austin looks at me as a positive influence on his life, but who knows, maybe I just screwed him up!” he laughed.

Give Sonja Morgan points for honesty.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly why she’s appearing on The Real Housewives of New York City (Morgan debuts tonight), the socialite replied:

“I’m on the show to have a good time and commercialize myself… I’ve been writing my screenplay since the minute my divorce started. It’s very sexy, sort of like a Candace Bushnell society novel.”

Somewhere in a meeting with her agent, ignoring her children Kate Gosselin is shaking her head and wondering why a single mother on a reality show isn’t using that platform to exploit her kids for sympathy, money and attention.

But back to Morgan. What is her life experience? Will she mix it up with her co-stars? We’ve excerpted a few responses from her aforementioned magazine interview:

What’s her resume? I’ve been working my whole life, started at 14 years old put myself through college, and then I was modeling in Europe, doing the restaurant business, and brokering deals. Then I got married, had a baby. Then I produced a movie, then I produced an art show and produced an art tour. I said, “You know, I think it’s time to highlight my career.”

Will she catfight? It’s not my M.O. I love to gossip like anyone else but I definitely don’t want to hurt other people’s feelings. I don’t have a mean bone in my body. I can be very gossipy and fakey like any woman is, and I hope I can keep my composure around the ladies.

What is she like? I don’t want to be cliché and say don’t judge a book by its cover, but there are many layers to me. I’m very down to earth and a good mom. I do my own gardening and floral arrangements and cooking. I’m much more down to earth than you would realize.

The party never stops when you’re Lindsay Lohan.

Hey, it’s not like she has any sort of work holding her back, and court depositions only take place during the day, and can always be blown off anyway. Holla!

Despite pleas from many people, including her father Michael, that Lindsay Lohan is going to die unless she curbs her wild-child ways, it ain’t happening yet.

The red-headed beauty is going balls out these days when it comes to the club scene. Here she is yesterday, in a rare moment of lucidity before bar hopping:

Despite issues with substance abuse that have been well-publicized, she shows no signs of slowing down, having partied on multiple coasts this week, at NYC’s Butter and then Beverly Hills’ Bar 210 on Wednesday night.

As the Lindsay Lohan pictures below show, she needed some help leaving. Friends shielded the plastered, half-unconscious train wreck as she clutched her pack of cigarettes and made her way to a getaway car. Party on, girl!
