Russell Crowe Honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

April 13, 2010

He’s thrown phones at people in fits of rage, and he once helped Martha Stewart murder a chicken.

But Russell Crowe is also one of the best actors of his generation, an Oscar winner and a multiple-time Best Actor nominee.

The native Australian was honored for those achievements yesterday, earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He posed at the event (below) with his family, wife Danielle and sons Charles and Tennyson, ages 6 and 3, respectively.

Perpetual Honor

As for his next project, Crowe will star as Robin Hood. The film opens on May 14, but he must apologize to all female fans: the handsome actor won’t be donning any tights.

“They weren’t invented until quite a few hundred years after when the story takes place,” he said. “We start our story in 1199. Tights don’t come into play until the 1600s. I do apologize to those who will be disappointed that there are no tights.”

Heidi Montag Accuses Adam DiVello of Sexual Harassment on The Hills Set

Some people just won’t stop in their pursuit of what they want.

This either applies to grabbing fake boobs or celebrity news headlines, depending on whose side you believe. Sources close to Heidi Montag say she is accusing the creator and executive producer of The Hills of touching her inappropriately.

“Tension on The Hills set has escalated in the last few weeks and Spencer and Heidi are close to bringing legal action against the show,” an insider tells Perez Hilton.

The alleged sexual assault by Adam DiVello happened after Montag’s recent round of plastic surgery procedures, Speidi is claiming. The inappropriate behavior included DiVello touching Montag’s “ass cheeks and lower back.”

Somehow we doubt it. Who would even want to at this point?

That is a Huge RackAdam Divello Picture

Did Adam DiVello fondle Heidi Montag? If so, gross!

Rumors have plagued Adam DiVello for years about the nature of his relationship with The Hills’ former heroine, Lauren Conrad and inappropriateness there.

No charges or lawsuits have been filed against him, it’s worth noting.

Those close to Heidi say Adam’s inappropriateness towards her is one of the reasons why she has had a large number of security people with her recently.

A source says, “Adam can get away with it with [Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari] but not with Heidi! He is a pervert and a creep. The other girls dont feel they can’t defend themselves because they are afraid they will lose their job.”

Heidi Montag will not tolerate sexual assault in the workplace!”

Truly, she is a modern day feminist hero to look up to.

No comment yet from Adam DiVello, or even from Heidi Montag, so we’ll see if Perez’s report (or her alleged claims) is legit … or as fake as that rack.

The Amazing Race: “It was a million-dollar meltdown”

In a shock to viewers, strong-willed team Carol Rosenfeld and Brandy Snow were eliminated from The Amazing Race this week — and it’s hard not to blame Caite Upton and Brent Horne for their sudden exit. The pair of models didn’t hesitate to give Carol and Brandy a U-turn upon their arrival to Istana Park in Singapore, which resulted in them having to complete an extra challenge and eventually get stuck with their last place finish. “I thought, ‘Are you kidding me?!’ It was horror. It was a million-dollar meltdown,” Brandy tells In Touch of her initial reaction to learning she and girlfriend Carol had been sabotaged. Worse yet, the couple believes Brent and Caite’s decision was not strategic, but personal. “We had zero idea that they had an issue with us. We were never intentionally rude to them,” Brandy adds of the pair, who referred to the women as “mean lesbians” throughout the race. “We were incredibly generous and gracious. You have to wonder about all the name-calling. Caite said she hated us, but we don’t hate anybody. I think other people can be the judge,” Carol says when asked if she believes the couple had been discriminated against for their sexuality. Despite losing out on the million-dollar prize due to the models’ game plan, Carol and Brandy have moved past their anger. “We traveled to so many places. I was overwhelmed by Asia and South America. We now think of the richness of the experience,” says Carol. “We got to participate in something so few people have. Now, we’re so appreciative.”

Glee Cast Makes Like Madonna, Shares Memories of Material Girl

Tonight, Glee returns to Fox with its first new episode of 2010.

But fans of the musical comedy are already looking ahead to next week. That’s because the April 20 installment of the show will feature nothing but Madonna singles, from “Vogue” to “4 Minutes”

The cast covers the latest issue of TV Guide and shares with the publication a few of its earliest Madonna memories. For instance:

  • Lea Michele attended Madonna’s Drowned World Tour three times and styled her hair like the Material Girl when she went to Bat Mitzvahs as a teenager.
  • Said Chris Colfer: “I was not allowed to listen to Madonna when I was younger… My mother and grandmother had all the CDs but didn’t want me to hear about sex.”
  • The newly-engaged Jane Lynch, pictured below in an iconic cone bra, recalls “sitting at a bar all drunk on Long Island ice teas watching her ‘Material Girl’ video and thinking, ‘How Ballsy.’”

As for Glee spoilers involving the episode itself, fans can look forward to…

… Sue Sylvester starring in her own “Vogue” segment, which also involves Mercedes and Kurt.

… Mercedes and Kurt singing “4 Minutes,” as part of the Cheerios.

… A rendition of “Like a Virgin” that focuses on three couples trying to lose their virginity.

Moreover, the show will release a CD full of these Madonna singles. It just keeps getting better, doesn’t it?

Kate should relax, says Maksim

If two-left-footed Kate Gosselin gets voted off Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday night, as many have predicted, a fellow dancer says it’s because she needs to loosen up. ““I’ve spoken to Kate, and I don’t think she gets the point of this thing yet,” Maksim Chmerkovskiy blogged. “The pain on her face says it all, which is unfortunate. The show is about finding a way to come out, enjoy yourself and have fun.” Maksim says even Kate’s partner, Tony Dovolani, has been affected by the reality mom’s joyless approach. “We were taught to respect our teachers, so as teachers, we expect to be respected by our students. Every student is different, so we must teach differently, but we’re always respectful. Kate needs to trust him,” blogged Maksim, who is himself generating rumors about a possible love between him and his partner, sports babe Erin Andrews. Kate and her partner’s rumba was the lowest-scoring dance on Monday night’s episode, and Las Vegas oddsmakers predict this will be the last week for Kate, who said on the show that her ongoing custody battle with her ex, Jon, has hurt her ability to dance.

Oprah and John Tesh?

It’s true, says John Tesh: He once dated Oprah. Their unlikely romance in the 1970s is just one of the revelations in a new unauthorized biography of the talk-show queen by gossip legend Kitty Kelley, and John himself has admitted that it’s true. “Oprah and I were cub reporters in Nashville nearly 40 years ago, and we dated for a short time,” John says. “We remain friends to this day.” However, the new-age musician refused to comment on the reason the book gives for their breakup: that John felt uncomfortable being in an interracial relationship. Other bombshells in the Kelley book include the claim that Oprah has exaggerated the poverty of her upbringing, that she has had lesbian “crushes” on celebs including Diane Sawyer and that Oprah’s own mother doesn’t even have her telephone number.

Merilee Gerth Alleges Affair with Jesse James, Dirty Text Messages and DNA Evidence (Gross)

Merilee Gerth, a former V.P. of West Coast Choppers, is the latest woman to allege an affair with Jesse James, and she says she’s got proof that it went down.

Nasty proof. In electronic and physical forms.

Gerth has two kids, a good job at a financial firm and a T-shirt with a certain fluid that triggered the big settlement she received in a sexual harassment suit.

Jesse James was clearly not a very careful cheater, having emailed Merilee Gerth like a madman with explicit content. But it was the t-shirt that did him in.

“Jesse and Merilee dated before he met Sandra Bullock, so he claimed it was an old shirt from back then,” a source said. “But Merilee was able to prove by the design and make of the shirt that it was current and didn’t exist back when they dated.”

Bill Clinton can relate, man.

Jesse Jackass James

Sandra Bullock’s husband Merilee showed other women his Gerth.

After allegedly being fired unfairly from West Coast Choppers, Merilee hired (who else) Gloria Allred and went after Jesse James claiming sexual harassment.

Long before the current cheating scandal exploded, Gerth nearly exposed his philandering ways. The harassment case was settled out of court for $725,000.

Once Merilee Gerth threatened Jesse James with the lawsuit, a friend says, “Jesse would come by her house all the time looking for her, trying to convince her to drop the lawsuit idea. Merilee became really intimidated and afraid of him.”

In an email of Merilee’s obtained by Radar Online, the mistress makes it a point to bring up the fact that Jesse was just using her for sexual satisfaction:

“Jesse doesn’t know anything about me because he is so selfish that even if I wanted to talk to him about my personal life, he wouldn’t be interested.”

The jackass has already been linked to Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, Melissa Smith, Brigitte Daguerre and some other woman who didn’t reveal herself.

Follow the jump for a pair of graphic Jesse James text messages:

First, an exchange from December 19, 2006

Jesse James: “I’m cold!”

Merilee Gerth: “Do you want me to bring you a heater? I have one in my office you can use. It isn’t the best heater… but it helps.”

Jesse James: “My heat is on……”

Merilee Gerth: “I put it outside of your office door. Plug it in and put it under your desk.”

Jesse James: “You coulda came in……you can keep it you need it more than I do……..I’m juss being a baby.”

Merilee Gerth: “You have a ‘do not disturb’ sign up on your door.”

Jesse James: “So”

Merilee Gerth: “So I’m not disturbing you!”

Jesse James: “You might be…..but you’ve seen it before.”

Then this gem from January 9, 2007

Jesse James: “In a meeting?”

Merilee Gerth: “No… I’m done.”

Jesse James: “Need anything before I split?…..”

Merilee Gerth: “Some tums.”

Jesse James: “I have some special fluid that you can drink and it makes it all better ….”

What a class act. Sandra Bullock should …

Bret Michaels hospitalized

BretMichaels0413.jpg

Former Poison front man Bret Michaels underwent an emergency appendectomy on April 12 after experiencing stomach pain while preparing for a show in San Antonio. The 47-year-old rock star and The Celebrity Apprentice contestant is still in the hospital, but “is doing well and beginning the recovery process,” according to his rep, who adds that he will have to reschedule some tour dates.

Dr. Conrad Murray Facing Civil, Criminal Woes

As we previously reported, Dr. Conrad Murray is the subject of a wrongful death lawsuit, in addition to criminal charges (manslaughter) regarding Michael Jackson.

The embattled former physician of the late icon has thus retained a civil lawyer, Charles Peckham, who handles medical board cases and wrongful death lawsuits.

His criminal defense is likely based on these claims about Jackson. His civil defense is likely to fall along similar lines, but there is the matter of who’s paying for it.

The lawyer has been in touch with Dr. Murray’s malpractice insurance carrier, which has revealed a particularly tricky situation, even by Conrad Murray standards.

Apparently, Dr. Murray had a malpractice policy issued in Texas that covered his medical practices in Texas and Nevada … but of course, MJ died in California.

Charged

Murray did not have a medical practice in California, which is a prerequisite for his malpractice coverage, even though he treated Jackson almost exclusively there.

So Dr. Murray’s defense is that he first saw Michael Jackson as a Nevada patient and what he did for him in L.A. was merely an extension of the Nevada treatment.

Whether that holds up under examination by the legal system remains to be seen, but it’s crucial because malpractice policy covers civil litigation, but not criminal.

In the event the doctor is sued for wrongful death, and Joe Jackson will do the honors, Murray expects the policy would cover attorney’s fees and any judgment.

We suspect the insurance company will argue otherwise. Murray is expected to argue that Michael killed himself with Propofol and the doctor is not responsible.
