Cynthia Nixon: Sex and the City 2 is an “adventure!”

With the Sex and the City 2 premiere just two months away, fans can’t stop talking about the return of Carrie Bradshaw and friends to the big screen. Luckily, Cynthia Nixon, who stars as spicy redhead Miranda in the highly anticipated sequel, is just as excited. “The last movie was more of a tearjerker, and this is really more of a romp — an adventure!” the actress told In Touch as she was honored at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York on March 13. While the HBO series and the first film were primarily set in the Big Apple, this time, the girls leave their native New York and jet-set across the globe to Morocco. “I like the caper aspect of the movie, the four of us on the run in a foreign country. It’s fun!” Cynthia added. So will there be a SATC3? Director Michael Patrick King says he can’t see that far into the future. “Right now, I’m thinking of SATC2. I don’t like to think about the next Sex!” he laughed at the
celebrity-studded event.

Rielle Hunter “cried for two hours” after seeing those “repulsive” photos of herself in GQ. Pictures she posed and removed her pants for very much willingly.

Just the same, the baby mama of disgraced politician John Edwards is apparently not pleased with several suggestive photographs in the magazine spread.

Oh, boo freaking hoo, Rielle.

First, you took off your own damn pants. Second, you’re the third party in a huge sex scandal in which a politician cheated on his terminally ill wife with you.

In short, just shut the hell up.

On The View this morning, co-host Barbara Walters said she had already spoken to Hunter, who trusted photographer Mark Seliger to take “classy photos.”

That’s not entirely how it played out.

What transpired were Rielle Hunter pictures showing her in no pants, a button-down shirt, posing provocatively in pearls on a bed full of stuffed animals.

Quite racy. And weird.

Walters quoted her saying that she “went with the flow” during the GQ photo shoot, which also showed her holding John Edwards love child Frances Quinn.

When asked about the current state of her relationship with Edwards, Hunter reportedly replied, “We are co-parents and have a very loving relationship.”

Hunter says she’s still in love with “Johnny” and believes he loves her. She saidthat his marriage was “toxic,” and that he feared “the wrath of Elizabeth.”

The weird videographer also confirms her first words to Edwards were, “You’re so hot.” He’s a Casanova, that guy. They met in his room that very night.

No word on when they made the John Edwards sex tape. Word has it she was pregnant at the time, which pretty much ups the grossness factor tenfold.

Kim Kardashian Too Famous For Own Reality Show


If Kim Kardashian is known for one thing involving cameras, it’s moanin’ and groanin’ as Ray J worked his magic up in dat thang. But if she’s known for a second thing, it’s totally E!’s hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

A show that may no longer be able to afford her.

Now a household name for whatever reason, Kim’s professional celebrity status has thrown a wrench into negotiations for the fifth season of Keeping Up.

Her star power has been a boost for the show, but as Kim Kardashian becomes increasingly popular, she may have options more lucrative than E! can match.

“Kim’s advisors feel it may be time to explore bigger deals on bigger networks,” a TV insider with alleged knowledge of the ongoing negotiations says.

Just Too Famous

BIG TIME: That applies to Kim’s booty, and level of fame apparently.

“She’s right to feel like she doesn’t need to open up her life to make a living. It looks like Kim can make a lot more money than the TV show can pay her, especially through her endorsement deals and doing appearances on bigger shows.”

Huh? Really, insider? The only reason she makes a living is by opening up her life … and legs, for Ray J. But that’s neither here nor there at this point.

At this juncture, E!’s options could be limited. The source says that they can dig deep and make Kim an offer she and her representatives can’t refuse.

On the flip side, the network re-fashion Keeping Up With The Kardashians to focus on the remaining cast members. Talk about a ticking time bomb!

“Neither path makes much business sense, especially when the Miami spinoff is doing just fine,” says the Kim source. “The most likely scenario is shutting down the show altogether and focusing resources on the Miami-Khloe and Kourtney franchise.”

Wow. Kim potentially putting the kibosh on Keeping Up? Krushing.

Where does Lauren Conrad turn when she needs a wardrobe update?

To the fashion collection she herself designed for Kohl’s, of course.

“I think if you’re not willing to wear your own clothes, you’re doing something wrong,” she says. “This line was meant to be about my style, pieces I want to walk in the store and buy. If you’re not wearing your own line, you’re taking the fun out of it!”

Known for her flirty frocks and California cool girl style, Lauren tells Glamour her staple piece is the blazer. “We have one in every collection, and we usually tweak it a little bit. In this specific collection, I also really love the biker jacket we did.”

Come spring, the former star of The Hills says she’ll be pairing her sharp toppers with lots of watercolor prints: “I think they’re very romantic and kind of timeless.”

“I almost did too much of it with this collection,” she says. “When we were shopping for prints with Kohl’s, everything I picked was watercolor and floral.”

Charlie Sheen Ready to Cop a Plea to … Something


Charlie Sheen is prepared to plead guilty following his drunken Christmas melee with wife Brooke Mueller. The only thing left is to hammer out the logistics.

The prosecution in the assault case is reportedly not looking for jail time, but wants Sheen to either cop a guilty plea to a felony or stand trial for the attack.

The Two and a Half Men star is more than willing to plead guilty or no contest to a misdemeanor with no jail time, which means this boils down to one issue:

Whether Charlie pleads to a misdemeanor or a felony. Charlie’s position is that Aspen, Colo., prosecutors routinely accept misdemeanor pleas in such cases.

Charlie and Brooke have been through a lot lately.

Sheen also wants the case dismissed outright at the end of the probationary period, which is likely to span a year or more. So what’s the hangup here?

The Aspen D.A. is reluctant to let Charlie already off too easily.

In 1997, the troubled star pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery in a domestic violence case involving then-girlfriend Brittany Ashland. That’s an issue.

The Aspen D.A. feels that given Charlie’s history, a felony is appropriate. So his fate in the Brooke Mueller incident may involve more legal wrangling yet.

Spencer Pratt Quits The Hills to Fight Cyber Threats


The Hills just isn’t the same without Lauren Conrad. Take away the entertainment of Spencer Pratt and it’s pretty much worthless … which we’d better get used to.

The reality TV villain says he’s leaving the show, and we think he’s serious, to take his career in a surprising new direction: To protect America from cyber threats.

Seriously. People reported this.

“In the last few months I discovered a new passion and new purpose to my life,” Pratt said. “With this in mind, I have decided to take a break from MTV’s The Hills.”

Now studying software engineering with a focus on encryption at USC, Spencer Pratt says he’s off to work for American Defense Enterprises’ cyber security division.

His first mission? Making sure all Heidi Montag pictures are secure!

Our first, and hopefully not last line of defense against hackers.

“Upon learning of President Obama’s declaration that the ‘cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation,’ I have decided to refocus my energy and resources to helping America,” he says.

“My new mission is this: To do my part in maintaining the technological superiority of the U.S. military and prevent emerging technologies from threatening our nation’s security as we face this and other unprecedented challenges.”

That’s … awesome actually. But this is Spencer Pratt. He can’t possibly be serious, right? Is there a reality TV crew on call to film him fighting cyber-terrorists?

“I am saddened to take this break from MTV’s The Hills,” he admits. “However I feel I would not be honoring my country if I were to continue when I have the ability and opportunity to assist our nation against these prevalent threats.”

Pratt’s wife, Heidi Montag, remains on The Hills. Spencer has also been relieved of managerial duties for Heidi, who’s now using Malibu-based psychic Aiden Chase.

After the singer told Playboy that she was “sexual napalm” and that he wanted to “snort her like crack,” Jess is concerned about guys checking her out 24/7.

Monday on The View, Simpson said Mayer’s revealing Playboy interview was “embarrassing. I’ll walk into a restaurant and I feel like men are looking at me.”

“I feel like they’re undressing me.”

Yeah, John Mayer’s interview is when that all started. No one goes to a Jessica Simpson concert or watches her movies because of her charisma. Just sayin’.

Kate Winslet, Sam Mendes to Divorce


The seven-year marriage of Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes is over.

“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” their lawyers said in a statement. “The split is amicable and by mutual agreement.”

“Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”

Winslet and Mendes were married back in 2003. The award-winning director and Titanic star / perennial Oscar nominee have a six-year-old son, Joe, together.

Winslet also has a daughter, Mia, 9, from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton. It’s always sad to report stories like this, but we wish them both the best.
