Simon Cowell would like to get one thing out of the way: He’s not engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy.

Personal questions aside, the American Idol spoke to reporters yesterday and addressed reports of who might replace him as a judge next season.

“I think they’ll find somebody who’s got that kind of experience, whether it’s a manager, artist, or like me, an A & R executive,” he said.

What about two of the most prominent names being bantered about: Howard Stern and Perez Hilton?

“I know Howard’s name has been in there for a while, but I’m fairly certain that there hasn’t been an approach at any time for Howard to do the show… He’s played records. He’s a DJ. He obviously wants the job. Good luck to him.”

What about the world’s most self-obsessed celebrity gossip blogger? “Perez would be funny. He’s got a good taste in music, he’s a personality — that could work.”

As for Cowell’s favorites this season, he won’t specify any contestant. But his words make it clear that he’s in the corner of female singers such as Crystal Bowersox and Didi Benami.

“There’s definitely a better chance of a girl winning the show. I’d love to find a Taylor Swift, somebody who’s relevant rather than just a contest winner.”

Ouch. Was that a shot at recent winners David Cook and Kris Allen?

Sunday’s episode of Fox’s Family Guy drew condemnation from Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska, 2008 V.P. nominee and mother of a special needs baby.

On the show, teenager Chris dates a girl named Ellen who has Down Syndrome and tells him over dinner that her mother is “the former governor of Alaska.”

Sarah Palin, whose son Trig has Down Syndrome, lashed out at Family Guy, which she says “really isn’t funny” and is the work of “cruel, cold-hearted people.”

The Republican politician also involved her teenage daughter Bristol for some reason and plugged her Facebook page a lot in various statements. Whatever.

This and other non-PC Family Guy quotes have drawn ample criticism, but one woman clearly in the corner of the Fox comedy is Andrea Fay Friedman (below).

Sarah Palin might like to hear herself talk more than anyone in history think Family Guy is offensive and hurtful, but this voice actress is sticking by the controversial show.

The 39-year-old actress and public speaker – who voiced Ellen on the Family Guy episode – has Down syndrome herself, and says that it’s okay to laugh.

We didn’t see that coming. She emailed this to the New York Times:

“I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line ‘I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska’ was very funny.

I think the word is ‘sarcasm.’ In my family we think that laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life.”

Hard to argue with that … or is it? Whose side are you on?

In a recently-released promo for new episodes of 90210, AnnaLynne McCord’s character of Naomi drops her trenchcoat and stands naked before her boyfriend. It’s hot stuff.

We wish the actress had gone with the same look at this week’s Shutter Island premiere, as she donned an unusual leather outfit instead.

Can’t say we’re big fans of the fashion statement made below. But whatever McCord is doing, it must be working: she continues to be involved with Twilight Saga star Kellan Lutz. He must not mind the feel of leather… or of the nude body referenced above.

She might rarely been seen with a smile on her face, but that doesn’t mean Kristen Stewart hates being a celebrity as much as some think.

While promoting the movie The Yellow Handkerchief, Stewart admitted that she can get sick of the paparazzi invading her personal space, but she also understands it comes with the territory.

“I can’t say I don’t want that, because people take it to the extreme and say that I hate it,” Kristen told E! News. “No, no, no! That’s not true.”

If it’s taken Stewart longer than most to adjust, it’s because she never saw any of this coming. When she first signed on for Twilight, the actress says she couldn’t have predicted that she and Robert Pattinson would cover every tabloid on the market.

“We didn’t even know we were going to make a second one. We were just like, ‘It’s really cool. It’s different and we’ve never seen a love story like this.’ I thought it would just be another cool Catherine Hardwicke movie.”

It was… and then some!

As for rumors that Breaking Dawn will be split into two movies?

“It looks like a ‘yes,’ but it’s still not concrete,” Stewart said. “It would be hard to cram all of it into one movie.”

If the final book really is broken into a pair of films, Kristen will remain in the spotlight for that much longer. Hopefully, she’s at least smiling on the inside over that possibility.

Jersey Shore star Ronnie Magro has issued an apology for the homophobic rampage he went on during one of his many fights on the freshman MTV reality series.

The hothead gets in so many brawls, it’s hard to even keep them straight. But after letting loose some gay slurs in one of the, Ronnie says he got carried away.

Blaming the whole ordeal on “the heat of the moment,” Ronnie says he’s sorry for the disgusting rant in question, which was made public earlier this week.

Never-before-seen footage of his first Jersey Shore brawl leaked online, and made Ronnie look like an even bigger idiot than The Situation is a womanizer.

Before this, Ronnie Magro was one of the most likable Jersey Shore stars.

In the video, Ronnie can be heard calling a guy on the boardwalk a “f**king f**got” and a “f**king queer” right before he beats the hell out of him. What a class act.

Yesterday, Ronnie posted on Twitter: “I apologize to my fans, In the heat of the moment i said a lot of things i didnt mean and im very sorry… i love my creepy fans.”

Maybe they’ll still love him, but we’ve lost respect. Why those words are even in people’s vocabulary in this day and age is beyond us. Wouldn’t “a$$hole” suffice?

No word how Sammi Giancola reacted to Ronnie’s apology, or if they are broken up or getting back together at this very minute. One can never be sure with them.

Horrible, society-draining, fame-seeking mother of octuplets and six other freaking kids Nadya Suleman is going to be dropping by The View next week.

Whoop dee $h!t.

Nadya Suleman will be a guest on the hit program that has made her lifestyle and her children a frequent topic of debate for the better part of a year now.

The general consensus: She sucks. And is insane.

Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd begin grilling her dumb ass (hopefully) Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Oh, but apparently it is.

Despite gaining international attention last year for giving birth to octuplets, the second full set of octuplets born alive in the U.S., Nadya Suleman had six kids already.

She conceived all 14 kids by in vitro fertilization and has no f*%king job. Although that may change, at long last, if she is given a gig she’s seeking as a game show host.

Yes, really.

Quite the example to set and way to contribute to society, Nads. The octuplets turned one year old in January. The city of La Habra, Calif., is slowly going bankrupt.

A couple days after stating that Miley Cyrus was not his type, Justin Bieber may have found his future wife.

If he’s willing to wait 15-20 years, that is.

A three-year old fan of the young singer was filmed by her mother this week, expressing her undying affection for Bieber through tears, sniffles and more tears. We try not to laugh at children very often, but this is sweet, hilarious stuff:

We haven’t seen anyone get this emotional since that crazy nut job watched the New Moon trailer for the first time.

Perhaps realizing that the pot was calling the kettle black hard core, Lisa Rinna is apologizing to Heidi Montag for comments about the latter’s plastic surgery.

Rinna said that she wouldn’t allow her two daughters to see Heidi Montag pictures in People after The Hills star had 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day.

The 46-year-old Rinna, who has had Botox, lip-plumping and breast implants gone terribly awry in her own right, says that she didn’t mean any hard feelings.

“I apologize to Miss Montag if my words were taken and used against her in the press,” she Twittered. “I did not slam her or her surgeries for the record.”

For the record, that’s exactly what she did. But no matter.

A couple (of gross) peas in a pod. The plastic torch is passed.

While Rinna’s intentions were spot-on – letting her little girls look at Heidi Montag is definitely a bad idea – what can she say, given all the work she’s had done?

For her part, Montag didn’t seem too bummed out. Asked about her second breast augmentation (giving her DDD boobs) by Us Weekly, she lamented simply:

“I didn’t get them as big as I originally wanted!”

Gross. Spencer Pratt, she’s all yours man.

But British actors Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower have come together off screen to form a new couple, as each will appear in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

“Yes, we’re dating,” Wright said. “We’ve been seeing each other for a few months, it’s good. We’re going to the BAFTAs together on Sunday.

Bower plays Caius in The Twilight Saga, while Wright portrays Ginny Weasley. We wish these two nothing but the best!
