Actor Rip Torn was arrested on Friday night for allegedly breaking into a Connecticut bank intoxicated … and armed with a loaded revolver, obviously.

Torn allegedly forced his way inside the Litchfield Bancorp building, setting off an alarm, state police from the Troop B barracks in North Canaan said.

When the police responded to the alarm around 9:40 p.m. they found Torn “with a loaded revolver and was highly intoxicated,” according to officials.

The actor, 78, was taken into custody without incident, and is being held there on a $100,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

This Rip Torn mug shot is actually from his previous drunk driving arrest in N.Y. State. Still, it’s an all-time classic. Look at this guy! Dude, take it easy. Yeesh.

Authorities say Rip will be charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief. Who does this guy think he is, DMX?

He had two previous drunken driven charges against him in New York.

He was acquitted in a 2004 case and, in a second drunk driving case (see above), he pleaded guilty in 2007 to a lesser charge of being ability impaired.

Torn, a resident of Salisbury, Conn., is an award-winning actor in film and theater with more than 50 years of work under his belt. Recently, he has appeared in Dodgeball, August, Happy Tears, The Golden Boys and even TV’s 30 Rock.

According to Jay Photoglou, Gretch Rossi is more than a Real Housewife of Orange County.

She’s also a real, giant, big, fat liar, reads a lawsuit filed this week.

The litigation stems from Rossi and Photoglou’s supposed relationship. The photographer says he and Rossi began dating in 2008 and that she told him she was acting as a caregiver to her terminally ill “ex-boyfriend friend, Jeff Beitzel.”

However, once Gretchen landed a spot on the Bravo series, she denied she was involved with Jay and played up her relationship with Betzel.

The lawsuit claims that Rossi was “intimately involved with Photoglou the entire time the show filmed Rossi’s first season” and is charging the spoiled non-housewife for damaging his reputation by calling him a liar, a drunk and a thief. It cites libel and slander and five other counts.

This isn’t the first time Gretchen has been involved in a scandal.

She’s been caught posing nude online and she’s planning a painful singing career. If Photoglou wins his lawsuit, perhaps he can put a gag order on Rossi’s vocal chords. Forever.

The Game is NOT father of Tila Tequila’s baby. Which makes sense. Seeing how that certified nut job isn’t actually pregnant.

Yesterday, Tila Tweeted obvious hints that the rapper (whose real name Jayceon Taylor) was her imaginary baby’s daddy. Last night, however, The Game posted a Twitter message – like only The Game can – which seemingly denied this accusation:

Case closed, right? HA! Wrong…

Tila has perfected the strategy of making crap up, and then blogging about the subsequent fallout in order to stay in the news. Her Tweets in response to The Game’s denial?

She doesn’t have the kind of star power as George Clooney, so Kim Kardashian can’t exactly organize a telethon.

But the reality TV veteran can use her expertise to assist the victims of this month’s earthquake in Haiti. No, she won’t donate the proceeds of a new sex tape to the cause.

Instead, she’ll put her connections in the fashion world to important use.

“We’re doing huge eBay charity auctions,” Kardashian told E! News “I have an eBay store called Kim’s Closet. Me, Kourtney, Khloé, my mom, Reggie, and I think Lamar have all put up a whole bunch of auctions that launch next week, and it all goes to Haiti. It’s our shoes and our clothes. Get cute clothes and help out Haiti.”

We criticize Kim (A LOT) for her dangerous diet and self-serving agenda, but we have nothing but positive things to say about this course of action.

Meanwhile, Kim’s focus is also on the upcoming Super Bowl. Bush’s team, the New Orleans Saints, will be taking on the Colts, for whom Kendra Wilkinson’s husband Hank Baskett plays.

That’s right, forget Drew Brees vs. Peyton Manning. This is a battle of E! stars!

“I haven’t talked to Kendra, but we’ll both be rooting our men on,” said Kardashian. “I’d love to see her and say, ‘Hi.’ We’ll be like rivaling, screaming at each other – screaming for our men.”

Just like Kim did on her sex tape with Ray J.

Get ready for a second season packed with house music, fist-pumping, trash bags, fighting with strangers on the boardwalk, and hilarious Jersey Shore quotes.

MTV’s only newest hit show is coming back for Season 2!

The network, which had been engaged in some heated negotiations with the Jersey Shore cast, will run it back this summer with all the original stars on hand.

We can’t wait for a new dose of DJ Pauly D, The Situation, Snooki, J-WOWW, Sammi, Ronnie and Vinny, although it looks like they’ll be in a different setting.

That’s right, Seaside Heights lucked out. The gang will “escape the cold Northeast and find themselves in a new destination,” MTV said in a Friday statement.

Warm weather locales, consider yourself forewarned.

FIST-PUMP! All seven of these guidos and guidettes will be back on MTV.

MTV continued: “Our audience fell in love with Jersey Shore and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family. That bond gives the show its heart.”

“We’re thrilled to reunite these friends to bring fans what they love – laughs, love, drama and of course, GTL,” the network’s president said in the announcement.

That would be gym, tanning and laundry – the daily routine of The Situation.

In case you didn’t get your fix throughout December/January, MTV will broadcast the Jersey Bowl, a February 7 marathon of Season 1, on Super Bowl Sunday.

The investigation into the death of Brittany Murphy has taken an unexpected turn as the L.A. County Coroner’s Office tries to fill in key gaps in her medical history.

The actress, who died December 20 at the age of 32, was suffering from severe anemia and other conditions and was under a physician’s care, according to TMZ.

The Coroner’s Office received medical files from Murphy’s doctor, but they show her last visit was months before her death. But someone else was treating her.

The pathologist assigned to the case has been told by Brittany Murphy’s friends and family members that other doctors treated Murphy during her final months.

Officials believe these other doctors could help determine her medical condition leading up to her death, and shed light on what, if any, medications she was on.

The toxicology report is not completed, but when it is, the coroner will determine if the medications in Murphy’s system were prescribed to her or someone else.

Investigators found numerous medications in Murphy’s home after her death.

The mystery comes because those medications were prescribed to Murphy, her husband Simon Monjack, her mom Sharon, and “unidentified third party names.”

Monjack has said, in several of his many interviews since Murphy’s death, that the meds were his. But it doesn’t appear to be case, at least not exclusively.

Dude’s also suing Warner Brothers for wrongful her death. What a nut job.

In any case, the Coroner’s Office is not expected to release the official cause of Brittany’s death for weeks, with these various loose ends needing to be tied.

It looks like Maddox Jolie-Pitt has something in common with… millions of other penis-based human beings.

The eight-year old son of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has developed feelings for Kim Kardashian, as he attended last week’s New Orleans Saints game with his father and was more interested in shots of Kim on the big screen than he was in shots on Brett Favre by defensive ends.

It sounds like Maddox wants to defend Kim’s end, if you know what sources mean!

That’s not how I suck on lollipops, daddy…

“He has a huge crush on Kim,” a family insider told OK! Weekly. “He thinks she is the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen. Well, he used the words ‘hottest girl’ to be exact.”

That’s saying a lot for a guy that has likely seen Angelina Jolie in her underwear. It’s also saying a lot of likely BS from a magazine that claims Pitt has reunited with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

Still, friends claim Kardashian is flattered by Maddox’s affection. This is just what the Saints don’t need: a reason for Reggue Bush to be distracted in the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

The domestic agenda of Barack Obama was not the only thing affected by the election of Scott Brown as a senator from Massachusetts.

The politician’s daughter, Ayla Brown, has found herself back in the spotlight.

A season five semifinalist on American Idol, Ayla had pretty much faded into obscurity prior to her dad’s shocking victory. She had planned to release a new album in April, but her label called the morning after Mr. Brown was elected and said it wanted to move up the release date of “Circles.” To January 26!

Fortunately, the CD was complete and Brown can look forward to greater sales than previously expected. She talked about the whirlwind of her career with Entertainment Weekly:

On her American Idol experience: It was positive. I was 17 at the time. I had only played basketball. Never sang in front of people, except for national anthems at local high school games. So being on stage with a live band was a first for me. Of course I was nervous. Of course there were times I felt I had no idea what I was doing. That was the fun part.

On her new album: This CD I’ve had much more of a part in, in terms of the thought process, the lyric writing, music, everything. It means that much more to me because of that.

On her dad’s Idol prospects: Uh, I don’t think he would do well at all. I haven’t heard him sing in years. I would be very curious to see how that would go.
