Things continue to spiral downward for Brooke Mueller.

Less than a month after her Christmas Eve incident with husband Charlie Sheen, Mueller has been placed in intensive care at a Los Angeles hospital. Reports indicate her fever rose as high as 105, following oral surgery earlier this week.

Said her lawyer, Yale Galanter:

“Brooke is in the hospital ICU related to the surgery for her impacted wisdom tooth. They are trying to get the infection and fever under control. The infection has spread.”

Mueller is being treated with antibiotics.

A court hearing on her and Sheen’s request to modify his protective order was originally set for today and then pushed back to Friday.

This isn’t Sheen’s fault, of course, but his influence on Brooke is clearly negative. The same can be said for his influence on network television, as Two and a Half Men has lowered the bar for unfunny sitcoms. It’s really, really stupid.

The Bachelor’s Michelle? Not what you would call sane. But at least she says she can laugh looking back at her memorable appearance on the reality show.

Laughing through tears? Laughing as she plots the murder of Jake Pavelka, Tenley Molzahn and Vienna Girardi? Possibly. Hope they have alarm systems.

On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor, Michelle became the second contestant this season to make an exit before any roses were even doled out.

The previous week, Rozlyn Papa was booted off for her so-called “inappropriate” conduct. This week, Jake asked crazy pants Michelle nicely to hit the road.

Michelle basically demanded that Jake kiss her, then threatened to leave because of their lack of one-on-one time, unless Pavelka insisted that she stay.

Jake’s response: “I think it would be better if you did leave.”

The booted Michelle, a fan favorite, appeared today on Wednesday’s Ellen, and told Ellen DeGeneres “I laugh about it!” as she recounts how it all went wrong.

“You have to expect something like that going into the show,” she says, which is ironic, as she seemed completely unprepared to deal with … well, anything.

Michelle tells DeGeneres that she sensed “hesitation” from Jake Pavelka when she asked if she could kiss him – ya think?! – and it hurt: “I was in it full force.”

“I didn’t feel anything back from him. Why waste each other’s time?”

She blames the encounter on the group date format: “It would have been different if we had one-on-one date,” she said. “It was like eight of us and it was the whole day and evening; I didn’t even get to talk to him until that night.”

A fact that she let everyone know on a routine basis with icy glares, near-meltdowns, panic attacks and serial-killer eyes. We’d say Jake made the right call.

He may have had a bunch of Hollywood breakups, but good guy Tate Donovan isn’t one to burn bridges. When the hunky actor spotted exes Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston at the Golden Globe Awards, where his Damages co-stars Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and William Hurt all received nominations, he took it in stride. “I ran into Sandy, and a lot of my exes there. It’s been 150 years, so if you can’t bury a hatchet after that amount of time… ” Tate told In Touch about his awards show reunions at FX hit drama Damages’ season three premiere in New York on January 19. The star, who dated both Hollywood A-listers in the mid-1990s, was especially impressed by Jen’s sexy black dress. “I thought she looked gorgeous!” he added. As In Touch reports in this week’s issue, Tate and Jennifer had a friendly encounter at the January 17 soiree in LA. With both stars’ single status, maybe there’s hope they’ll
rekindle the romance!

Amy Winehouse pleaded guilty to a charge of common assault in court this morning, admitting she drunkenly assaulted a theater manager before Christmas.

She was fined and ordered to pay compensation of roughly $300 (harsh), and was given a two-year conditional discharge. That’s like a suspended sentence.

The gist? If she stays out of trouble for the next 24 months, she’s a free woman. If not, well, in the judge’s words, Wino will be “hit hard… and hit twice.”

Wino. Staying out of trouble. Two years. Good luck with that!

“It might be harder than a fine, because you have to stay on the straight and narrow for two years now,” said District Judge Peter Crabtree acknowledged.

Odds on Amy Winehouse violating the terms of her punishment? 3:2!

The incident in question? Amy Winehouse pulling the dude’s hair and calling him a “f–king c–t” during a family-friendly rendition of Cinderella. Classy as ever.

The blows were exchanged after the theater manager’s simple suggestion that it might not be the best idea for the intoxicated singer to keep boozing. Jerk.

Her lawyer admitted she was out of line but praised Amy for the strides she’s made toward consistent sobriety after examining her most recent medical report.

Yeah, right.

The 26-year-old appeared in court this morning under her married name, Amy Civil. For those keeping score, she is no longer married to Blake Fielder-Civil.

Speaking of Fielder-Civil, who she is reportedly dating again and planning on remarrying, he allegedly proposed to Sarah Aspin during his stint in rehab.

Amy should be beating him up and thus landing in jail shortly!

Jennifer Lyon has died at age 37. She starred on Survivor in 2005, the same year she was diagnosed with breast cancer, against which she fought a long battle.

“I was completely shocked and overwhelmed,” Lyon said of her initial diagnosis of the disease. “I felt fine that day; in fact, I’ve been healthy my entire life.”

Austin Carty, an alum of Survivor: Panama, dated Lyon, who starred on Survivor: Palau, in 2006. “Jen was a genuinely selfless, sweet-natured person,” he said.

“She always had a smile. She cared about every person.”

R.I.P. Jennifer Lyon (1973-2010).

Carty last saw his friend at a breast cancer charity event in New York during summer 2009, where she received a standing ovation after giving a speech.

“She was engaged in the fight of her life, but she had every intention to fight,” Carty said. “This has really rocked the Survivor community. It’s just so sad.”

Tiger Woods’ beleaguered wife, Elin Nordegren, is planning on running away to her Swedish homeland for good — and she wants to take the disgraced golfer’s two kids with her. While Tiger, 34, is reportedly at the Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Miss., Elin, 30, has been plotting her escape from the Florida home she has been sharing with her husband since their 2004 wedding. “She’s reminded daily of the havoc he’s wreaked on her and her kids’ lives, which is why she’s planning on staying in Sweden full-time. She wants to be near her family,” explains an insider. “Tiger has tried to reach her,” says an insider. “But Elin won’t take his calls.”

Rumors of a romance between Emilie de Ravin and Robert Pattinson have finally died down.

For awhile, celebrity gossip sites and reporters were buzzing about a possible connection between these two stars as they filmed Remember Me in New York City last year, even though Robert is clearly dating Kristen Stewart.

Now, with the movie set to premiere in March, its cast members are making the media rounds – and de Ravin may have inadvertently sparked new buzz for tabloids to seize on.

In an interview with MTV, the Lost star says she and the Twilight Saga stud got along very well from the outset of shooting:

“I flew to New York to test with Rob and we immediately got along and had instant great chemistry, which is not an easy thing to come by,” Emilie said. “Obviously you’re acting, but you want to have that connection with somebody. We had it.”

As for her relationship with Pattinson off set, the actress says it was platonic… but still very close:

“It was so great being able to work with someone you immediately get along with and is incredibly talented and is driven to make the film as good as we can. Having someone you can go and talk with about a scene, and it’s all very casual and easy, that made filming such a delight.”

Before Twilight fans start worrying about what this means, a word of advice: relax. Pattinson and Stewart were recently spotted together and seem very happy.

The Hills‘Heidi Montag has already expressed interest in wanting to expand her new breasts from an F to an H but it looks like she’s going to have to find a new doctor. “With me, she won’t go bigger. Another doctor may do it, but I won’t,” says cosmetic surgeon Frank Ryan, who performed 10 procedures on the 23-year-old recently.

In their four years together, Brad Pitt has become all too familiar with Angelina Jolie’s jealous streak. But those fits of jealousy may spring from personal guilt over an affair of her own. As In Touch has learned, it may be Brad — not Angelina — who truly has something to be angry about. In an exclusive interview with In Touch, an ex-employee of the Waldorf-Astoria in New York claims that Angelina has been cheating on Brad — and details a steamy tryst that could end their troubled relationship for good. Anna Kowalski, a housekeeper who speaks several languages and was often assigned to the hotel’s most high-profile guests, worked extensively with the family on their numerous visits to the hotel over the past four years. Anna tells In Touch the affair took place over the summer when Brad and the kids were at their rented mansion on Long Island, N.Y., and Angelina was staying at the hotel by herself while shooting her movie Salt.

According to Anna, Angelina more than once took visits from a tall, dark-haired man — who was one of her dialect coaches from the movie. “She would see the tutor while a bodyguard stood entrance at the suite,” Anna — who was fired from the hotel in December because, she claims, she did not get off Brad and Angelina’s floor fast enough when security shut it down for a doctor’s visit — tells In Touch. Anna adds that, after one late-night meeting with the tutor in mid-July, Anna personally saw what looked like evidence of a night of passion. Once she got into the room, Anna shares, she was shocked by what she saw. “The room was a disaster,” she explains. “There was water all over the bathroom and empty vodka bottles everywhere. Every towel had been used. And over five dozen cattleya orchids were scattered around the room, and there were the tops of the flowers in the tub, with candles.” Once Anna got into the bedroom, she shares, she got an eyeful. “The bed was covered with black rubber sheets, and there were sex toys on it,” she reveals, adding that it left her with little doubt that the actress and the tutor were having an affair.
